Dina Lohan Was Paid $50K for Dr. Phil Interview

I'm not usually a big fan of paying people for interviews, but Dr. Phil got his money's worth and if you get Dina Lohan drunk and on pills or whatever else she was doing and only have to pay her $50K for it, then I think you have her on every week. Hell, just throw her on a couch in the corner of the studio and every so often have the camera pan over to her and ask her what she is up to. Most of the time she will probably be passed out with a cigarette in her mouth or rambling incoherently about how all her kids are big stars.

  1. I watched the interview. It was a trainwreck. She was an absolute mess. She simpered, whined, and usually made absolutely no sense. I pity the person who will have to transcribe that interview.

It was clear to me she had some sort of benzos working in her, and maybe booze. She just could NOT hold a single thought in her head.

Her "reason" for the interview was to "empower" other abused women to get out of their abusive relationships. Uh, yeah.

The fact that Dr. Phil PAID for this farce of an interview just obliterated any shred of respect I had gained for him when he raked Dina over the coals.

    Oy!

  2. She was magical. The only problem I see with this is that she's just going to blow that $50K, and gain 0 clarity about herself from watching it back. I'm sure it was all "editing". She won't watch it and go, "Wow. I'm a mess."

  3. I was wondering when you posted the preview if she got paid because couldn't figure out why else she would do it. I googled 'do people get paid to be on dr phil' and it said no - they just pay expenses. But I guess Dina Lohan is different. What a despicable person she is.

  4. I don't know whether there is any truth to this, as it was Michael Lohan who said she was paid for her appearance. I take what he says with a grain of salt.

Never mind the fact that she was absolutely wasted, but giving him the finger, actually two fingers, is beyond pathetic. I would just die if my mother had ever behaved like that.

  5. Talk about an investment paying in spades.
That 50k will end up paying "Dr" Phil back at least 10 fold if not more.
Now, can he get Meshlohan and Blohan on?
    We're talking ratings trifecta here.

  6. The sad thing is, that is about what I would make in 2 years. I bet she already blew it on booze, shoes and a purse :/

  7. Is it any wonder that this woman's daughter stopped all emotional development at puberty?
I half expected her to pull her skirt up over her face and run around the room, which is what I did when in a tough spot as a toddler.

  8. And when u factor in she is 50 yrs old, its even more shocking. She hasnt learned anything from her years on earth, or whatever plane shes on.

  9. No, Michael LOhanian said Dina LOhanian was paid $50k for her interview. He doesn't exactly have the best track record with the truth.

  11. Why is this suprising? Poor thing needs to make a living and crazy doesn't come cheap.

  12. I don't think she was paid 50k, I think she misses being on TV and wanted some attention. I don't think she was drunk but she definitely doubled up on the xanax and klonopin.

In her Lohan imagination she figured it would be a softball interview and would be held up as a hero to other women leaving abusive situations. She never thought once she would be called out on her shit and bad behavior and poor parenting.

She didn't know what to do but does what Lindsay always does is deflect, play it down and just lie about their personal short comings as human beings.

I loved it, now if only Dr. Phil could get Lindsay in a room for some one on one life training. And I am no fan of Dr. Phil but he really hit it out of the park with that interview.

  13. I have to admit, I have never seen someone whose child has the exact same mannerisms, posture and facial expressions. They could be twins (in more ways than one). She makes the KKlan look Klassy.

  14. The only issue I have with this is that "Dr. Phil" is as big a fraud as Dina Lohan.

  15. Ok, I'm usually a critical bitch about Enty's writing but that post made me laugh. I would watch the shit out of any talk show that had her in a corner rambling incoherently.

She said she wanted to empower women and she gave pre-approved questions and she still wouldn't answer. And when he asked her about the Georgia Rule letter, she spoke at length but every third word was "like." Becoming from a woman of her age.

  16. @amber: you said it! She will not take any responsibility for that debacle of an interview, but only deflect & blame.

She seems like she was in nightclub mode, trying every trick in her book to "charm" Dr Phil numerous different ways, from compliments to playing damsel in distress to outright flirting. And the fist bump? Whaaaat was that? Now if she were at a meat market bar, I'm sure her come-ons would have worked on somebody. Too bad for Dina that Dr Phil wanted complete sentences & a sober guest.

  19. He always pays in some shape or form for celebrity interviews.

Sometimes it's product placment...i.e....a book or video..or some shady thing he and his son have money in.

He "donated" a fortune to Casey Anthony's parents charity to get them to appear the first week of a new season.

  20. I take klonopin for an anxiety disoreder every day. I have been on one benzo or another since 1997. My prescriptions are always written out "as needed" and there have been many anxiety attacks over the years that have required something immediate and @ a high dosage. I have NEVER come even close to being that loopy, or high or crazy or whatever the proper term for her absurd behavior is. That trick was on a lot more than benzos. I have never seen either dina lohan or phil mcgraw before this and I don't see why he is getting a bad wrap for this interview. She couldve said a simple "no" and not embarrassed herself, and her family with such a horrible display of immaturity, lack of culpability and overall bizarre behavior. He was just doing his job like any other talk show host.

  21. Andplusalso, what was up with the flipping off thing she did at the end? That was just a crazy cherry on top of the cake. If I did that my 13 year old son would find a new family. I'm embarrassed for her! But seriously, does anyone know why she did that?

  22. Holy crap people, turn on Phil and check out Robert Blake.

  23. Wow, I can't believe that Dr. Phil paid Dina Lohan $50000 to be on the show. She should have paid him! She has got to be one of the worst enablers in parenting history.

    Off Topic Robert Blake

OMG his story is incredible, but makes sense. I didn't realize that his wife Bonnie had had a sketchy history.

I sensed that he wasn't able to see his little girl for some reason.

I just started watching Dr. Phil last year, and watch it on the PVR.

My kids kept saying what a cool friend / uncle Robert Blake would make.

I used to watch Dr. Phil in the past, because he had people on with normal problems.

Lately there seems to be way more celebrity guests.
