Angus Jones Has Decided To Keep His Filthy Paychecks

Apparently when it came down to it, Angus Jones was just not willing to walk away or ask out of his contract so he would not have to keep earning $350K to show up and be filthy. So much for those principles. The producers would have let him walk. I didn't think he would be back this year when they sent him off to the army at the end of the last season. They used him for the Miley Cyrus episodes and I bet she would be thrilled to have Angus quit and step into the role at $350K a week and would be as filthy as they wanted. Angus gave the weakest apology ever but says he will be at work after the Christmas break. Lets see if they have him appear on any of the shows.

  2. Is he really in a cult?

Also, is it just me or does everyone else think that this is the only role he will probably ever have, regardless if he never opened his mouth?
I feel like there's just not a huge desire to have an awkward looking, out of shape, 20 year old guy.

    Poor John Cryer.

The Guy is young and on his own personal journey. I can appreciate that and wish him well. He needs to remember that tons of people are employed by that show. His words could have been damaging to the livelihood of people who make far less than 350k an episode. Godspeed to him though.

  4. I hope he has a good financial planner.

If so, he has nothing to worry about. Ever. Imagine being set for life at the age of 20!

  5. I'm hoping his spiritual advisor isn't also his financial planner.

  6. I still think kids at that age say stupid stuff they regret 10 years later. Hopefully he'll get away from this cult and settle down. At least he's not on drugs.

  7. yeah, he's just a kid. with lousy parents. hope he finds his way.

  8. He's been surrounded by immature adult drama for years on his show and is probably supporting his family. I'll give him a pass on this one and hope he gets some guidance in the very very very near future.

  9. It's quite alarming how brainwashed he seems to be now. Sad. That guy he was with in the video is a complete nutjob.

  11. He grew up to be a awkward looking teen yeah he won't be on the show too much longer. I'm surprised Ashton has not spoke on it. it needs to be canceled to be honest. The show went downhill after Coke head Charlie horse left.

  12. @auntliddy - how exactly do you know he has lousy parents? He's 19 years old, has been working solid and consistently for over a decade, has never been in trouble, and despite now being caught up with this cult (it is a cult) he was raised in his faith and is a pretty grounded young adult.

What part of that is screaming lousy parents to you exactly?

  13. Also, talk about cults, his first cousins are actor/scientologists Chris and Danny Masterson.

  15. His "pastor" probably told him to keep making that money so be could donate it to his church.

  16. @Jeneral -that was my thought exactly, since he now can actually access his money. It's interesting that Angus turns 19, and can access his trust where all of his paychecks have gone, and this creepy guy shows up in his life.

You know what though? Hopefully this is the end of his interest in this " Church". Now that he was spectacularly spanked by the press for being such a little ingrate now him, his family and his team have had to sit up and say: you know what, little fella, you may want to reacess this Church. You pretty much offended everyone and came off smelling like a Lohan.

  18. He has to keep his job to pay for his cult. Just look at Kirk Cameron to see what will happen to you later on down the road.

  19. oh to be 18 again, and know all the answers to life questions. I miss those self righteous days until I found out how hard it is in this world to succeed.

There is a line of young men that would cut his throat to take his place on 2.5 M.

good luck and god's speed young man. Life isn't as rosey as you think it is.

  20. whocaresnow- why don't you google their mugshots and read the stories instead of chastising people here?

  21. They should write a Very Special Episode where he is visiting Rio and the huge cross on the mountain falls during an earthquake & crushes his character to death. Give him an ironic old testament send off. See you kid.

  22. I haven't watched one episode of this show, ever.

Before this little situation, the only time I've ever seen Angus was when Janelle won a trip to the Two and Half Men set during BB6. She got to attend a live taping and I remember Angus gave her a tour of the backstage area. I think he was riding around on a Razor scooter or something like that. He seemed witty and personable.

Janelle returned to the BB6 house with a new bowling shirt amid a pack of jealous house guests.

    The End.

  23. He's still a kid, and kids do and say stupid things. But he might want to rethink his church if they start asking him for donations.

  24. I think they should write him off the show as joining a cult and disappearing. Poetic justice for the ungrateful little jerk.
