Kris Humphries Wants His Ring Back From Kim Kardashian - Gets Into Fight With Rajon Rondo
Big last few days for Kris Humphries. He actually plays on a team that is relevant now. His lawyers got to depose Kanye West in his ongoing divorce battle with Kim Kardashian and he got into the biggest fight the NBA has seen in the past couple of years. Apparently Kris Humphries wants the ring back that he gave Kim Kardashian but she insists on keeping it. Why would you want to keep the ring from a guy you were married to for just 72 days? Is she going to wear it again? Sell it? Has she sold it? The ring is worth $2M but he supposedly got a deal and only spent $750K. Kris Jenner is probably saying that is $1M profit and Kim didn't even have to take her clothes off and have really boring sex to earn it. So, Kris Humphries works for Jay-Z who is best friends with Kanye West who is pretending to have sex with Kim Kardashian. As for the fight? Lots of suspensions coming down.
He has no case there. Because they were officially married, the ring is her property. Had they never made it down the aisle, he could get it back. I was scolded by my jeweler for giving back mine when I got divorced.

I read somewhere that Kim made sure to put in a clause in their pre-nuptial agreement that she would keep the ring no matter what.

she probably paid for the ring!!!!!!!! he should cut his loosses- or probably his gains- and walk away before fhe makes a fool of himself.. And I am no Kim fan, just this is how I see it.
ReplyDelete@Susan - HE's actually the one that wants the annulment. His family is pretty religious, and he does not want a divorce for that reason. Allegedly.
ReplyDeleteI personally thing Jay-Z doesn't like Kim at all because we all know Beyonce isnt a fan (that awkward video of them from that music award show) and in a weird way I think that Jay-Z hiring Kris was kind of a slap in the face to Kim.

Delete@Caitlin, normally I'd like your theory, however Kris played for the Nets before getting mixed up with Kim. And, Jay-Z has only a minute stake in the team. He's basically there to get his name on it, but he has little control over who plays. So, when Kanye wrote "Theraflu" and made that dig about letting Kris stay on the team, it's inaccurate.

His parents just recently got divorced (there's was quick) so I don't think his annulment is due to religion (even if he says it is) its more likely the non-disclosure agreement that goes away if the marriage never happened per annulment. If there is a divorce the non-disclosure remains intact because its part of their prenuptual agreement. GASP... I am sorry I know all this:(

ReplyDeleteJay-Z has no say over who's in the team, he's just a small shareholder. Kris Humphries family can't be too religious as apparently his parents are divorcing. I think the whole Kim/Kanye looks fake but don't really understand why Kanye would bother with it, he was fine without her. Does anyone have any proof that it's fake?

ReplyDeleteIf the marriage is annulled, then it never happened. Which means the ring is NOT an engagement ring, therefore he gets it back. The rules change when it's an annulment.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that at this stage his parents would ever be granted an annulment. They were married for a long time, and have two adult children. To convince the church/whatever that one of the parties entered into the marriage fraudulently (I'm summarizing), would be pretty tough. Think of it as buying a defective product. If you've used something for 20 years, you can't really go back to the manufacturer and say, "HEY YOUR PRODUCT IS GARBAGE!"

DeleteFor Catholics, they're not talking about a legal annulment of the marriage but one granted by the church, which has very different grounds.
DeleteMy husbands parents obtained an annulment 20 years post divorce despite a 10+ year marriage and two kids. MIL was a sport about it.

Why doesn't she just agree to the annulment? It would free her from the handcuffs. It's not like anyone respects her so it certainly wouldn't tarnish her "brand". I gets her out of this mess faster so she can move on to the next fake wedding. I wonder what Kris knows that she is afraid of. And eve though she doesn't legally have to return the ring it would seem like a good thing to do, regardless. She can't possibly need the money, although at the rate she spends I have to imagine that she won't be rolling in it ten years from now.

ReplyDeleteWell according to the prenup kim was supposed to pay to keep the ring. I guess if he proves fraud it voids the pre nup and voids the marriage therefore the ring being her property after the marriage thing would also be voided.

Also yeah jay z owns less than 1/15th of one percent of the nets.

ReplyDeleteRemember when one of the Kennedy's tried to get an annulment? Can't remember which one, but I think it was the one who's exwife just died, Mary Kennedy maybe? Her ex husband. They tried for an annulment and I was surprised since they had kids and had been married for so long. I don't know what happened, so I have no ending to that story.
ReplyDeleteTed Kennedy successfully got an annulment from his first wife Joan when he wanted to marry his 2nd wife in the Catholic faith. His annulment was granted despite the fact that Joan opposed it claiming it made their children illegitimate.

ReplyDeleteIf I was Kim, I'd give him the ring back and pay him whatever it costs to keep him quiet and away from me--you know, like Tom Cruise does with his ex-wives. Say what you want about him, but he does know how to do that divorce thing cleanly, quickly, and quietly. There's a lesson there, methinks.

ReplyDeleteI think Kris has said he's not caving on this because he wants her to have to admit that she's a liar and a fraud. He wants her to have to admit that he was conned. And I think he physically wants the ring back, because he just doesn't want her to have that for her collection. I think he just wants her and her whole circus of a family outed. And if that's the case, I applaud him and wish him Godspeed.

ReplyDeleteAnnulments can go quickly if both parties agree to them. My first (childless) marriage was annulled. He married wife #2 in the church, don't know where he married 3 and 4
ReplyDeleteMaybe he should have thought about that before he married the dim heffa. You have to pay to play in the big leagues, and he paid to marry one of the biggest ho's in the game. Don't expect any money back guarantees when you marry a whore. Come on man!

P.S. - speaking as a basketball fan for 30+ years, that foul was hardly vicious, and Rondo's reaction was, in a word, overreaching. I didn't see the whole game, just this clip about 30 secs ago, and at the very least Rondo's looking at a suspension for throwing punches. God, I hate bench brawls in basketball.

ReplyDeleteJay-Z owns a teeny tiny little share of the Nets. He is not making personnel decisions. I wouldn't say Kris Humphries works for him. He was probably invited to invest in the team and given an ownership interest to serve as a public face of the team. As for Kris wanting an annulment for religious reasons, you can get legally divorced and obtain an ecclesiastical annulment from your church. One has nothing to do with the other. He is simply trying to annoy and embarrass her publicly by prevailing in his quest to have the marriage declared a fraud (one of the legal grounds for annulment). If he wants an annulment for religious reasons, he's going about it the wrong way (though it's clear that is not why he is seeking one. He wants the marriage publicly declared a fraud.)

On another note I love rondo and do not appreciate kris laying hands on him even though its obvious rondo would totally win.
