Kirstie Alley Says John Travolta Is The Love Of Her Life

I don't know if John Travolta used to do Kirstie Alley's auditing sessions or if Kirstie is really thankful to Kelly Preston and owes her a few for sticking with her on this whole diet regime fiasco, but last night on 20/20, Kirstie Alley said that John Travolta is the love of her life and the only reason that they didn't have sex constantly while filming Look Who's Talking is she was married to Parker Stevenson at the time. Maybe John was getting close to her so Parker would come over to the set more. Kirstie went on to say that it took all her will power not to run away with John during the movie. It is a nice story and maybe if she had been single she could have ended up John's Kelly Preston. Can you imagine if some person at Scientology got their hands on every auditing tape ever from celebrities and then ran away from the church and uploaded all of them to the internet. I think Hollywood would explode.

  5. I can't imagine what's worse, being the third wheel or deciding to avoid the love of your life bc it's too painful. I think Kristie talks too much to be a liar so I believe this and I really feel awful for her. This means she's been sleeping with Kelly right?

    1. Oh I'm an idiot. Of course "they" made her say this to help John look straight. Not that I believed for a second he was straight! I just thought she was delusional and it made me sad she couldn't have her love. But it's all a lie. Bastards.

  8. Hey Kirstie, they have medications for delusions, y'know? Oh wait...right.

I used to really like her cuz she has no filter but the whole cult thing weirds me out.

  9. What a good beard pal she is. I wouldn't be able to say all that on camera without cracking up or throwing up, depending on my mood.

  12. Enty, I can only say from your fingers to God's ears re "Can you imagine if some person at Scientology got their hands on every auditing tape ever from celebrities and then ran away from the church and uploaded all of them to the internet."

Anonymous, if you're listening, you'd make a lot of Christmas lists complete with such a stunt.

  13. I still have the nagging thought that JT is bi. I don't doubt the male affair rumours, but I think he's still into chicks, too...Kelly, Marilu, Diana, and possibly Kirstie.

Maybe I'm naive, but it's just a strong impression that I get.

He needs to ditch that skeletor and get him some Kirstie lovin.

  15. Oddly enough, Marty Rathbun, who famously left the CoS and has been a target of Miscavige's wrath ever since, audited Tom Cruise for years and has said he's never gotten an inkling of proof that Cruise is gay. Make of that what you will...

  16. Marty being ...... Marty. Tommy Davis is allegedly hiding out with Marty. Marty wants to start a new branch of CO$. Interesting reading on Tony Ortega 's fb page about the Atty for Lisa McPherson suing Co$.....

  19. about rathbun, he may be afraid to say anything about tommy.

or it may be that tommy's not even human and has no sexuality at all. that's how he strikes me.

  20. ive heard so many mixed things about tom cruise... not sure what's real and what is gossip/attention seeking/malicious.

but i can see how someone would fall in love with their best friend - a guy who is attractive, animated, caring... no matter the sexual preference.

  21. @AKM I dunno, a lot of gay men have important women in their lives, and some of them they have sex with.

Rock Hudson, who was a very, very promiscuous gay guy, was married to a woman for awhile - probably a beard situation to protect his 1950s reputation, but by many accounts he and his wife liked each other, enjoyed each other's company and did indeed do the nasty from time to time.

Even Liberace had a woman in his life for awhile and almost got married.

Someone who's mostly gay - as I believe Travolta is - can still have a little tuna in his life from time to time.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @AKM--I too lean toward John Travolta being Bi. People tend to zero in on someone being either straight or gay, forgetting that there really is another option. I also believe that Tom Cruise may be as well, although that would probably go against the tide of thoughts on this site. To me if they make a movie and it makes me forget the crappy stuff that is reality for two hours, who gives a flying fuck what they do in their private lives.

  23. This smacks of a friend trying to put a positive spin on a friends recent legal scandals.

  24. I'm old enough to remember that Travolta had a relationship in the late 70s with Diana Hyland until she died of breast cancer. She was a little older than he was and at the time it was considered a tempestuous relationship (if memory serves).

  27. I'm surprised that Parker is gay. Didn't get that vibe from him when I was 10-11 years old and watched the Hardy Boys on Saturday mornings. I lovvvved him so much!
(My clueless mother thought my crush was on Shaun Cassidy and bought me all his albums with his da do ron ron shite, but that's another story. . .)

  29. Whoa, whoa...is Parker officially out?! I swear I never heard this.

@Nutty - I totally get that, and I know that the label is up to the individual him/herself and not society, but I still think that a person having sex with both genders is best described as bi. We can take it a step further and call them omni or pan, even, to include the other genders...I mean, whatever they prefer. But as audrey also said, sexuality is a continuum more than anything, really. There are those of us who are 0 or 6, but most of us probably fall in between. "Mostly gay...but still [has] a little tuna" sounds like a textbook definition of bi to me. I think JT is, and I think TC is asexual. But hell, I've never met 'em. Just vibes I get. ;-)

(I sincerely hope I didn't offend anyone, as I am completely an LGBT ally. Like I said, I know that it is up to the person to call him/herself what he/she prefers. It just seems to me that most of my LGBT friends who have sex, have had sex, or feel attraction for both sexes [or another sex, FWIW] refer to themselves as bi. It just seems to be an economy of words that covers it best. But, again, to each his/her own.)

  30. John Travolta is gay, gay, gay. Tom Cruise is gay (confirmed through an ex associate of his), Will Smith is gay. Gay as in gay, not bi.

    Diana bearded for John.

  31. An interview with Parker Stevenson. Cracked me up, considering.

You've been divorced [from Alley, his wife from 1983 to 1997) for many years. Any plans to remarry?

    No!

    Why not?

My attention is just elsewhere now. My attention is more directed to things I haven't had the chance to do while I''ve been with my kids.

    Any girlfriends?

    I date.

True, but she said it was "usually brief and hurried." Doesn't sound like he enjoyed it to me, and there's the difference. Rock Hudson was gaygaygay and did not enjoy sex with women. JT, or any bi guy, would enjoy it.

  35. Well, Kirstie said in interviews after that that it meant exactly what it sounded like it meant. People were seriously wondering? I was a teenager and knew what it meant. :-)

  36. All of my women friends....and probably a lot of yours too...like women. Two women making out is a cultural norm these says. The idea of picking a side seems antiquated to me. Why can't it be the same for men without the following witch hunt?

  37. I saw this story last night over at Dlisted and wondered why this was coming out now, it seems so random.

  38. what a weirdo. can you imagine if your very close friend, who you socialize with often and who works with your husband on occasion, said this about your husband? you don't say that. is she socially retarded?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Parker Stevenson and John Travolta resemble one another... maybe there is some truth to Kirstie's little crush. She still comes across as very "fag hag"-ish, now she is hanging all over Jonathan Knight and he is very openly gay.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "I know that it is up to the person to call him/herself what he/she prefers". i'm going to say NO to that. if you are a man, and sexually attracted to, arroused by dick; you are gay.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Two women making out is not yet a cultural norm.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @agent**it
    Yeah, it's a straight man's fantasy!

I hear about the "sexuality continuum" crap all the time. The fact is I've never gotten sexual tingles over another woman. I've never had a desire to touch one or kiss one sexually either. I know men who feel the same about other men. The tingles just aren't there.

My best friend from childhood is gay and he said he was "bi" for years. He loved his female friends, but never really enjoyed them sexually.

I think this is Kirstie's way of trying to help out Travolta. An inept way, but still a way. They are Scienos.

Whatever happened to the rumors of Kirstie being a lesbian? I use to hear those for years.

    ReplyDelete
  43. They had great chemistry in those movies. I loved them. I still think they're funny.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Henriette-Yeah, Apparently I'm not the only woman who didn't experiment in college. I also have several lesbian friends who would never never never touch a man. I think you can be gay friendly but totally hetero, while some are totally gay. There are people who are actively bi (probably not the right term) but I don't believe that EVERYONE is naturally bi.

I like Kristie and I like Travolta regardless of their sexuality.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This makes me think that she's also secretly a lesbian.

  46. She is totally with Kelly Preston.
