Farrah Abraham Waxes Her 3 Year Old

I was not sure that Farrah Abraham even saw her three year old daughter Sophia anymore because Farrah is too busy being Farrah which means getting plastic surgery and trying to make a buck in some ways that most people would not consider very normal. I will leave it at that. Anyway, on her blog, Farrah says that her daughter has some fuzz between her eyebrows and that it was starting to look like a unibrow so Farrah waxed it off. Yes, she waxed her three year old kid. The same woman who spent $20K of her money on plastic surgery has now waxed her 3 year old daughter. After reading her blog post, I am thinking that perhaps Farrah should have spent some of that $20K on some schooling.

So I told sophia (my daughter who is a late 3 years old) of the little issue on her brow, and I showed her how I waxed mine off, so I tryed to wax her, the second a dab hit the Uni, she touch it with the towel she had in her hand, UHHH so now, wax was in the towel, and I yanked it back ASAP, but fuzz was not stuck to the wax stuck to her Uni, OMG moment, So now sophia was freaking out, so I had to act like it was a cool science project to get the wax off. PLOT TO END THIS: Sophia feel a sleep, I got my tweezers and Pluck-pluck-pluck......soph was now saying ouch or anything and still was asleep, I got most of it off and then finally she woke up..I went to sleep . The next morning I showed her and told her how well she did and she didn't even know, She was more intrigued now to be ok with upkeeping her non-unibrow. I could tell she was proud.

  1. I thought about Madonna not waxing Lola when I read this. Poor Lola had a unibrow for the longest time.

  2. Not sure who this is. And there should be only one Farrah. Farrah Fawcett.

  3. Did her daughter also write that blog entry? Geez oh man. Ent you write better than Farrah.

  5. No idea who this is but her English language skills leave a little to be desired. And a 3 year old? C'mon.

  6. Welp, doesn't surprise me. Farrah obviously has self esteem issues, she's just passing them along to her daughter...telling her the way she looks isn't good enough.
And yeah, after reading that discombobulated mess she wrote I agree she could use some schooling. She makes enty look like a good writer. ;)

  7. Not gonna lie, I would probably wax or tweeze my kid too if she (or he!) had a unibrow.

If I saw baby/toddler pictures of myself with a uni, I would demand to know why my parents didn't do something about it.

  9. And tomorrow they're going for a plastic surgery consult, then she'll teach her to purge, go tanning, then duck face pic time! Wtf, she's only 3!

Don't you remember Madonna's daughter when she was young? I thought that was child abuse to let a kid walk around with such a unibrow. I thought that was child abuse.

  11. Where Farrah is at fault is that she blogged about it. I am sure many other parents have done this without anyone knowing.

  14. Ugh I hate this bitch. I can't believe she let her daughter in the pic being the attention whore that she is.

  15. 'trying to make a buck in some ways that most people would not consider normal?'

do tell. screw the unibrow---THIS is what i want to hear about.

  16. Who is this person? Should I care? Darn left behind in the gossip web, watching the #IdleNoMore movement and attending round dances. But it's good to visit and see moronic behavior is not restricted to elected officials..

  17. You know, I know we can throw shade at her all day for a million things and I just don't think this is one of them.

I was lucky not to have a unibrow as a toddler but I got pretty hairy later and it was tough.

  18. @Henriette, exactly! I don't see how this is different than getting a haircut or a manicure. It's maintenance. If a parent treats it as something casual, the kid won't think it's a big deal, either.

  19. The only thing I want to know is how she tries to make her money. Ohhhh enty you're such a tease!

  20. Shallow and stupid. Emphasis on shallow.

  21. @hunter, me too. I remember getting teased by my classmates for my hairy legs when I was 10 years old.

  22. I can't believe what I'm reading. These are the same loving parents that get their babies' ears pierced.

First of all, way to teach your child that there is already something wrong with her and that she needs fixed.

Second of all, way to cause your child pain because she is not meeting your standards of beauty.

Most people spend the time making sure their 3 yr old doesn't run out into traffic or eat the cleansers or pull the cat's tail. They are fast, determined and fearless.

Anyone who has had waxing done knows that it hurts. I can't believe she did this to a baby.

  23. Still don't know who this person is. And frankly, I hope I never hear from her again.

  24. I'm not an aesthetician, so I don't know much about skin other than I cleanse and moisturize 2x/day. However, even if it's just sugaring wax, isn't a 3 y/o's skin pretty delicate to be doing this? When you wax, it does actually remove skin cells, and can sometimes lift, leaving a raw patch.

  26. This inspires me for the title of my next work of (not) art:

"Why did we bother to burn our bras?"

Note to Myself:What came out of that? A gazillion dollar industry to perfect the appearance of a woman's breasts.

    1. Holy crap - right on, Agent!!

Women need to get educated about our history and how the focus we insist on keeping on appearance is just playing right into the hands of a male-dominated society!! Keep us looking in the mirror, so we can't get anything substantive accomplished!

Ladies, we are forfiting our power.

  27. What a moron. A 3yr olds skin is so sensitive and delicate. Not to mention what she is teaching the poor child.
I am ashamed to admit but I actually just finished reading her biography and she is every bit as annoying in it as she is on the show. She also goes into way too much detail about her sex life. Including how when her water broke it reminded her of her boyfriends cum inside her. She is all class.

  28. I'm sorry but waxing a 3 YEAR OLD!!!??? No. Just No.

  30. I just find the concept of Enty criticising someone's writing/grammar on a blog mildly amusing.

Other than that no idea who this is, but guessing she's one of those Teen Mom types?

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Amber, delicate skin is a really good point. A tweezer wouldn't hurt that, though, unlike wax.

I understand why people would be against waxing AND/OR tweezing, but what age is appropriate for it then? Is it before or after your kid comes home sobbing because other kids made fun of her? I feel like this instance--removing a little bit of hair between eyebrows--is really minor. It's not like giving a kid a makeover or telling her that she's chubby and has to go on a diet. It's a tiny bit of hair.

    ReplyDelete
  32. She ended up tweezing it while the kids was sleeping (after the waxing was a fail). I'm really sad that I know that.

It's great to rage against a society that puts so much emphasis on looks and 3 may be slightly young but kids are amazingly cruel. I'd probably wax/tweeze my kid too.

  33. Next stop...the tanning bed.

Who is this chick anyway? Never heard of her.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What if she had got wax in the eyes? You can't use something like tweezers on a baby. It's dangerous because they can't stay still.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Did we really expect more from someone who is famous because she got pregnant at 16?

  36. I had to start waxing my daughter's lip when she was in 6th grade. She is 17 now. Her lip hair was (and is) dark and very noticable. Being a pre-teen and teen with lip hair is not an easy thing.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Patty. That's totally different. Your daughter wasn't 3 yrs old with super young skin. If I had a mustache in 6th grade (11 - 12 yrs old), I would pray my mom would have waxed my lip too. That's the age when kids start getting cruel to each other. I actually thought my mom was cruel, because she wouldn't allow me to shave my legs until I was 13.

    1. Me too, when you are the last person who gets to shave your legs it's awful, especially in the summer at the pool. It gives me the heebie jeebies to thnk about this again. I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable.

  38. @crila16, 11-12 isn't when kids START getting cruel...or I was just very unlucky at my elementary school.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @karen. I'm so sorry. You must have been unlucky. I guess it also depends on the era a kid grew up in. My era, it got bad in Jr. High.

  40. I started bleaching my mustache in 7th grade. I chose to get my ears pierced at 9. There is absolutely no reason to cause pain to a 3 year old for beauty purposes. Waxing hurts.

    ReplyDelete
  41. There is a *huge* difference between 3 and even 6 or 7. Three year olds haven't learned to be mean yet.

I have boys, also, and boys wouldn't get teased about a moustache, it would be a status symbol.

If a child is going to get teased I would definitely try to find a solution, but at 3? No way -- not until they can understand what you are doing, and make it part of their regular grooming, so they know there is nothing wrong with them. (eg. some people get acne, some don't ; some people have extra facial hair, some don't)

  42. @Agent**It - thanks for cracking me up...

Meanwhile, I am pretty sure that is an ambien post, right? There is no way someone can have that poor of a grasp on their native language.

    1. KLM - A few years ago, I was on a committee awarding scholarships to high school seniors. We disqualified more than one applicant because their essays were written like Miss F's little missive here - misspellings, no capitalization, and run-on sentences. In other words, they wrote their scholarship application essays in text-speak. It was disheartening, to say the least.

But at least they tried harder than the application that we disqualified because they didn't bother to write an essay at all. Real go-getters, these kids!

  43. You get rid of the unibrow when the kid is old enough (and self-conscious enough) to get rid of it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Since she dumped like $20,000 into plastic surgery, doesn't surprise me but the waxing the toddler disgusts me. And after all of that money, I feel free to snark on Farrah by saying she now looks like Ryan Reynolds in a fat suit (whatever movie that was). She was strikingly pretty before.

    ReplyDelete
  45. She should not wax her 3-year-old's brow.

First, she did it herself, at home. Even when professionals wax the brows of adult women, there can still be irritation, redness and a rash*. A toddler's skin all around the eyes is much more fragile and their eyebrows are wispy anyway, so waxing is a bad idea.

I can kinda see simple maintenance, tweezing, but done low-key, maybe at the same time she gets a haircut. Even then, you don't want her to feel there's something wrong with her.

    * PROTIP: Don't get your eyebrows waxed the day or two before your wedding. Because you just might get redness, which shows up as a second set of pink eyebrows on all 800+ photos of your big day!

  46. While I agree excessive facial hair on girls (unibrow, mustaches) can be the root of taunting by other kids and it's humane to their self esteem, a 3 yr old is simply too young to wax. It's probably very very light and only 3 hairs. 6th grade?Yeah..Pre-kindergarten, NO.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wow. Where to begin with this? Does this chick have special needs? That is a serious question. She writes at a second grade level, which is sad on itself, but I'm horrified that she is someone's mother! As disgusting as it is that she tried to wax a 3 year old baby(!), the worst is that she tried to explain it to her. If the little girl didn't notice, why point it out to her?!? Never to early to start destroying your child's self esteem I guess.

  48. Yes, what is the "non-normal" way she is making money??

  50. waxing is so 1980's. try threading ladies. safe and cheap...even for a 3yo.

must be a lot of teachers in the thread the way people harp on spelling and grammar. FYI- it's not a fucking status symbol to have a better grasp of the english language than others. Some of the most educated people I know are some of the biggest fucking morons.

    1. @jax, I usually don't comment on people's grammar - we're not writing term papers here and I can't get through one comment on my phone without a typo. The reason I brought it up was that her thoughts and the way she expressed herself was like someone with lower IQ or maybe a disability.

  51. #1 - this chick thought that her appearance was the problem as to why she couldn't keep a man/mate.....NOT her personality.

#2 she treats her mom like sh*t

    #3 I believe she's learning disabled.

  52. Why is it so hard for some women to just let their kids be kids? Don't they have a lifetime full of this to deal with, without starting them down this path at 3?

And while this is an over the top example plenty of moms out there are pushing their girls to worry about these things sooner than they need to. Sure it's easy to point at stupid reality stars, celebrities, etc but lets face it girls now have a "fashion sense" at 5 or 6. Totally unreal, and someone is feeding them this nonsense. I remember when I was a kid we were pretty clueless about having a "fashion sense" until we were about 13. So it's not just the celebrities, it's every day moms doing this too.

  53. one of my kids has had friends that get their arms waxed for years. the forearms. my daughter came home saying her friends were making up stories at about 8. the girls are from iran and india, and are what i consider "hairy". i think it must be pretty common because there has never been any shame in their discussing it. 3 seems kind of little. like those pagent parents, making over the kids, even whe the kids don't want it. this mother bugs me for lots of reasons. and her voice is HORRIBLE.

  54. I just wanted to write that sometimes the children do ask for things. I wanted my ears pierced & begged my parents. They were pierced at 2. It is my earliest memory & as I am 43, when mine were done it was a numbing spray & a needle. Loved it, have had my ears pierced ever since.

  58. I used to have a raging unibrow and now I can't even look at pictures of myself as a kid because of it! Coming from someone who knows, I actually wish my mom would've done something about it...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Also - I was teased mercilessly for my unibrow all throughout elementary school. My mom wouldn't let me do anything with it until 7th grade, at which point I had endured years of name-calling. I'm not saying that waxing is appropriate for a 3 year old (it's not) but nothing's wrong with good old tweezers!
