Mindy McCready Is Going To Get Arrested
Did you see Mindy McCready on The Today Show this morning? Of course you didn't because no one watches Today any longer. So, anyway, Mindy was on the show as a promo for Dateline and in the interview says she didn't kill her boyfriend but doesn't know if he was killed or if he shot himself. Huh. That is not what she said before. Earlier she said he definitely shot himself. Mindy's story keeps changing and under the circumstances where he "killed himself," I think it is fair to say that police would probably like to talk to Mindy for a few hours straight and I bet they get a bunch of different stories. I still don't know why the guy would kill himself. He was leaving Mindy for another woman and was happy to have revealed the truth. Why kill himself?
I really wish that fame and fortune would shine on a better quality of humanity than this.

DeleteOkay, that headline is a little misleading, right? The police haven't said they're going to arrest her and this is just Enty's personal opinion?

ReplyDeletereminds me of the situation that happend on the Tom Lekis show a woman called in and confessed to setting up her boyfriends murder as a suicide and got away with it. And she really did, she was never charged after they discovered who she was....from wiki:

A listener from the Phoenix, Arizona area called the show and confessed to shooting the father of her child when he refused to pay child support. The caller described herself as a nurse who went by her middle name, Sue, and said that she shot the man in the heart with a 9 mm because she "knew how to aim for it," and moreover asserted that she made the shooting look like a suicide.[56] Leykis asked if the woman was serious, and the woman explained how she "got away with it" because police believed "a blubbering, crying woman" and that she was never arrested or charged. Leykis informed her that she'd made a murder confession live on the air, that the call-screener had her phone number and that they would turn her information over to police. The woman ended her call.
Leykis denied allegations that the call was part of a hoax set up by the show, and producers turned over all information they had about the caller to police who began an investigation.[57] Leykis discussed the confession on subsequent episodes of his show, urging listeners to phone a toll-free number if they had possibly relevant information, and offering a cash reward for information leading to conviction of the woman for murder. About a month later, former talk show host Geraldo Rivera asked Leykis about the incident on his Geraldo at Large syndicated television program.[58] Geraldo: "So what was your first reaction when you got this call?" Leykis: "I was shocked. You know, people call talk shows and say all kinds of things, but they never confess to murder."[58]
On August 7, 2008, Leykis interviewed an officer involved in the investigation. Evidence was presented to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and charges were considered against Megan Suzanne Vice of El Mirage, Arizona.[59] Her ex-boyfriend, Tortsen Rockwood, died of a gunshot wound in 2001, and while the death was originally ruled a suicide police later named Vice as their suspect in the case. Sometime after the murder confession was made on Leykis's show, Vice filed a police report stating that her cell phone had been stolen. In 2009, it was revealed that the woman would not be prosecuted due to a lack of evidence.
I like how she nods when she says "no." Crazy.

He also once hit me up for a blow job. I can't stand that guy.
He has no respect for women at all.
She is either insane or a serious meth addict. With all she's done prior, she seems capable of doing something like this.
ReplyDeleteThe media needs to STOP focusing on her and her crazy antics. The only reason it's in the news is because she had a hit single. Take her off the air, stop talking about her and she'll just go away. Perhaps to prison, but go away, nonetheless. She had her chance and she f^&*%ed it up. Leave the limelight for a bright talented person who deserves it.

ReplyDeleteI thought she did it when I read the original news story. Perhaps it's just a hunch but I predict she'll at least be arrested.
ReplyDeleteFull disclosure: I worked in radio when Mindy's "Guys do it all the time" came out and upon meeting her found her sweet but dim. She really messed up when her label president arranged a party to celebrate her #1 and she blew it off. It made him look silly and he didn't appreciate that (who would?)

Years later is when I happened to meet Leykis and thought him more "Elton John" than anything else. What a nasty man he is when it comes to women.

ReplyDelete@ABlake is that what happened? That would explain why Mindy fell out of sight very quickly (country music-wise, not tabloid-wise). What an exceptionally stupid move! You never blow off anyone high-up when you are starting out.

If she didn't do it herself, she got someone to do it for her. She's involved in it. Mindy's crazier than Cooter Brown.
