Blind Items Revealed

August 9, 2007

#2 This former A list television star and now a "Didn't he used to be in?" kind of star who still works but not at the same level he did and his never higher than B list wife are each enjoying other people while remaining married for the sake of their child(ren). Each parent takes a turn at home with the kid(s) while the other goes off with their current flame. It works out well except when they need to be photographed in public. They need each other for publicity sometimes but are loathe to ask for a favor from the other. Their solution? They actually charge each other to show up for photographs. This way the other person needs to be really sure they want the person to come along and is not just saying it.

David Duchovny/Tea Leoni

  1. He seems like the worst guy to be stuck with, very Sean Penn-esque...

  2. Well that seems all sorts of sad to me.

  3. Didnt' they get married really quick? Never a good thing to do that.

  4. DD seems as if he could be a tool to live with.

OT: "My Cat From Hell" marathon on Animal Planet today! The cat owner on right now looks like a scruffy Katy Perry.

  5. He's always struck me as a bit on the smarmy side. Tea Leoni is so quirky/goofy, I loved her in that Christmas movie with Nic Cage.

  6. This one is just sad :(

  7. @Mango: If My Cat from Hell is on, I physically cannot make myself turn the channel. SLOW BLINKS.

Anyone remember that song from the nineties: "David Duchovny why won't you love me???? Ohhh David Duchovnyyyy..." Apparently it's not that hard to get a piece of David Duchovny. He's so blah and dull.

    1. By Bree Sharp. Yeah I bought the album just for that song. DD was my first Hollywood crush.

  9. I've always liked Tea Leoni and never figured out why she didn't become A list. She has the talent.

  10. Not surprised. That marriage never seemed genuine. They probably thought being a celebrity couple would boost both careers.

I lived in Los Angeles in the mid/late 90s. DD had quite the reputation for his success with the women and rumor had it that he has quite the package to go with it.

  12. I always loved Tea too. Remember that show she did with Taylor Holland? Damn it was awesome with those two.

  13. "rumor had it that he has quite the package to go with it."

Yeah, he does. I will always be grateful to Chris Carter for putting him in a Speedo. Yum, yum, yum.

  14. Enty you revealed this like a year ago:) Duchovny and Leoni divorced in 2009 and Duchovny is indeed with Gillian Anderson.

  15. In a reveal he is now or was living with Gillian (I forget her name) from X-Files. Love him in Californication, bet his character is not a big stretch for him to play. The funniest episode ever with with Rick Springfield and Marcy, I can never look at him again the same way.
I am in great pain today, just popped meds and my son went to his Dads so I get the couch and I too have the Cat from Hell marathon on. I laugh at SLOW BLINK, and do it to my cat all the time.

  16. Aw, Opie, hope your pain meds help! Couch time with a cat marathon sounds like a good co-remedy. :)

What is slow blink? (Other than what I do at JC...)

  17. I never liked Tea Leoni.

She reminds me too much of Megan Fox, that same bitchy porn star face.

  18. I don't care for Tea, either. David I kind of like for some reason.

Did they officially divorce? I wasn't sure there was ever a resolution to that situation.

  19. I still have a soft spot for him-he's Mulder!

  20. They were separated during 2007 but didn't announce it until late 2008 during his second season of Californication. They were dating but co-parenting. There's nothing creepy about it.

  21. @ Mooshki,

If you liked him in a Speedo, search out Henry Jaglom's "New Year's Day" for a Speedo-less Duchovny. Back in the days of VCR, it was only a brief glimpse ... thank God for improved technology. ;)

  23. Love Tea and wish she would work more! And thanks to the heavens above, hubby turned it from my cat from hell (oh was working on # 6 and becoming zombiefied) Speaking of cats frim hell.... one of my furry cat beasties peed on my Mom's clothes TWICE during her visit!

  25. Duchovny and Leoni haven't been a marriage for like 7 years or so, all of which he has been dating Anderson on the qt; her "boyfriend" was a cover for her relationship with Duchovny.

  26. Izzie yes the meds are helping but had to take more. This is from the animal planet site about the slow blink. "He had heard somewhere that a "slow blink" means "I love you" in feline; a slow blink exchanged by cat and human establishes a link between the two." So I slow blink at my cat (Opie) all the time!

  27. I loved him since the Red Shoes Diaries and Return To Me. They're both good actors who obviously don't need to be married. Remember when he was on Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Tea was his phone a friend?

  28. @April
Funny you should compare David D to Sean Penn; David D is ten days older than Penn (8/7/1960 to 8/17/1960). I wonder if it was the month and year because I know many Leo men who are not this way.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is so old they don't coparent any more. Duchovny is the one who has custody (food for thought: a supposedly "sex addict" gets custody over the mother).

    1. Yes, that was of interest to me as well.

  30. @Anna - I totally remember that song! I was a huge X-Files fan, so I loved that song, haha.

  31. Interesting, I Wonder, if they rumors are true, when he will finally publicly come out with Gillian Aderson.

  32. @Damocles
I think David D got a really bad rep due, in part, to Ted Casablanca. Ted really didn't like the guy.

I never like Leoni. I always thought she was very fake and dumb. She was sleeping with her married producer from the Naked Truth.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ Anna, that song was so funny! I always found him to be super creepy after he played the boyfriend of the mean girl in "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead."

  34. When they got married, dd's dad said," he can never committ or stay faithful." Guess he knew what he was about.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I also never liked Tea, or at least the public personality she chose to project. She always seemed self-absorbed and shrill. She was unbearable in "Spanglish." One of those actors that can keep me from going to see a movie.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love him. I don't get how women who marry celebs expect to be Mr. and Mrs. Normal America. Ego is required for fame. Everyday folks worry about bills and watch their partners get fat, celebs cheat and act like jerks at times. World keeps on spinning.

  38. I know he's skeezy but he is always going to be my Mulder <3

I don't like the thought of him being with Gillian irl because he has such a history of cheating. I hope he doesn't hurt her. I'm STILL crushing on Gillian, all these years later.

  39. Not surprising since I've known him for years and had some interesting encounters with him when I was 22.
