Lindsay Lohan Was Normal For One Day

The way the tabloids were acting you would think that Lindsay Lohan is the second coming and the greatest acting talent since Meryl Streep. Yesterday, Lindsay played a part on Anger Management and didn't cause any drama. Apparently she showed up 45 minutes early. Good for her. She nailed her scenes and her lines and some source (Dina/ahem) says that Lindsay showed why everyone loves her talent. Her scene was playing herself. After sex. In bed. If she can't do that stuff in her sleep by now with all the friends she has, then I would have been shocked. It is the one thing she can't screw up. Plus, she is starring alongside Charlie Sheen. How many Academy Awards does he have? It's like starring next to Dean McDermott. Everyone looks like they are the best actor ever. Let me know when she strings together 30 straight says of being on time and working and not drinking and drugging. That would be awhile.

  1. Sheen was pretty good in platoon, above mcdermitt im sure. Lilo may need other crazy person to cancel out her crazy. Two negatives=a positive!!!!

  2. Love her in the bandana! She's all "prepping for my prison days"!

  3. Wow...45 min early. Soooo...she's done 1 thing right and a million things wrong. Ok. She probably shouldn't go to jail then. She's reformed.

  4. Sheen was excellent in Wall Street and Major League.

  6. Yeah, I think that Charlie Sheen is actually a decent actor or used to be. Way different from Dean McDermott (who I had to look up because I didn't even know that Tori Spelling's husband was an actor, just a man of leisure--thought Enty had forgotten Dylan McDermott's name).

    1. @Karen- I had to google to see if it was Dylan he was talking about too. Throw Dermot Mulroney into the mix and I have no idea who's who.

    2. The whole time I thought he was talking about Dylan McDermott.

  7. Ent obviously hasn't seen Sheen at his finest- Men At Work.

    Case closed.

  8. She's just going to end up complaining about how this role is beneath her and makes her look like a trashy lowlife.

  9. 45 minutes early means she couldn't score her drugs.

    1. 45 minutes early means Charlie had the good stuff on set and she didn't want to miss out. She's gotta keep him on side.

  10. Sorta OT - saw a minute of Charlie Sheen on Doctor Oz the other day...are we sure they aren't related? They looked a lot alike.

  11. I read this on TMZ this morning, and sounded an awful lot like someone paid them to write it. It's written very postively, and I can't take TMZ seriously when they do that. They're known for snark. I'm dubious of anything else.

  12. Oooh Lucas..now that you mention it! Did you hear about the swedish man who doesn't know who he real father is but knows his mother (stewardess for an airline) had an affair with Sheen

  13. I agree that Charlie Sheen can act when he wants to. You know, Lilo disgusts me most of the time, but if she is truly trying to get her act together, good for her. If she can keep this up, then by some miracle, she still has somewhat of a career in show biz ahead of her.

  14. @rcb: I saw that! He had pictures where he was dressed up like Charlie and actually kind of looked like him.

  15. @LottaColada - I've ALWAYS confused those two!

Amber,I thought the same thing. Charlie Sheen has supported her a lot, so this sounded like a total PR blitz. "Let's give you a guest spot then we'll leak how professional you were and it will help your image. "
If Tiger can redeem his image (kind-of) then I'm sure Lilo could, but she needs to go to rehab then get out of the spotlight for a year. Then she can do the People mag cover with how far she's come. Even if it is a lie people would want to believe it.

  18. Please don't forget that Charlie Sheen has had some stellar roles in his day: Platoon, Wall Street, Eight Men Out, Ferris Bueller (kidding). But seriously, he could have been an A-plus leading man in major films if he had played his cards right.

    1. @Susan +1 on Ferris Bueller! LOL I remember watching the credits to see who the bad boy was flirting with Jennifer Gray because he was hot. Loved me some bad boys. :-D

  19. I smell a reveal on the Dean McDermott mention. He “gets confused with others” like McDermott and Mulroney. I don’t know if Enty considers Dean a Celebrity now because of his reality show fame whoring, but he was originally a C+ actor. Tori is back to being a skeletal mess, so things could be rocky on the homefront right now. Things that make you go hmmm…

FX is just trying to get us to watch Anger Mgt. by praising The Cracken. More stunt casting. The writing is so-so and everyone's delivery is stilted. It's difficult to watch.

  21. Loved Charlie in Eight Men Out and Major League - he's got talent - he just doesn't care. Lindsay cares about having talent but doesn't have any.

  22. Of course she showed up early. She just got hit with another $50,000 tax lien, so she has to stay on Charlie's good side.

  23. It's just U beat me to it...Charlie dangled the cocaine carrot to get her there early. When those two go over "lines" it means something completely different from other actors. Yeah, I said it!

  24. Charlie Sheen is (well, was) like a lot of actors that people think of as "good". They're good at playing one particular type of character, so that's what they play. That's ALL they play. Sometimes they even get the big awards for it. It's not the same as actually being able to act, but it passes for talent.

  25. @rejected, I am DYING over your Men At Work reference. I saw that piece of shit in the theater when it came out (I'm old).

  26. The only thing on Anger Management worth watching is the hot actress playing Lacey. Still, the show is better than 2 1/2 men by a long shot.

  27. It is pretty amazing that it is newsworthy that Lindsey Lohan actually showed up on time and did a good job playing herself. The bar is set pretty low for her at this point in her career- or what's left of it.

  28. I do have a bone to pick with Enty about Charlie Sheens acting ability. He was fantastic as Michael J Foxes replacement in Spin City. As Enty explains in his blurb on Danson's daughter if the talent isn't there no one will watch. Despite the dumb premise 2and a half men was the top rated comedy for several years based on sheen's comedic comic ability (and cryder.) The ratings for anger management are good also. Any argument that he doesn't have great comdedic acting ability doesn't hold water.

  29. @Its just U - exactly! She knew the good shit was gonna be on this set (obviously) so home girl was gonna be there EARLY. Plus PLEASE she's on good behavior because she knows she at risk for going to jail now that the prosecutors know there's no such thing as lock-up rehab. Dumbasses. Like ONE DAY of being good girl is gonna make up for a LIFETIME of fuckery.

  30. If Lindsay was 45 minutes early maybe the director wised up and gave her a call time that was five hours earlier than the actual time she was due. I always wondered why they never played that game with Monroe.

I caught Dean McDermott on cable in a western called Open Range with Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall, and Annette Bening. That's pretty rarefied air for an actor of his ilk. He did an okay job playing, IIRC, the town doctor.
