Miranda Kerr Gets Fired By Victoria's Secret

The contract that Miranda Kerr just completed with Victoria's Secret will be her last. Company executives say that the model is really a pain to deal with and her cost does not equal what she sells. People don't really buy the products she wears as much as they but the products other models are wearing. I wonder if that is a valid way to measure something. Certain models look better wearing certain things. Maybe those products represent what people like rather than the model who is wearing them. The difficult part I get and who wants to pay a million or two bucks to deal with someone who is a pain. The company did say that Miranda has been asked to walk in the fashion show, but I'm guessing Miranda turns them down.

  1. I honestly don't understand what happened to the "look" of these VS models. They used to all have curves.

Now you can't tell them apart from models who walk in a Dior show.

  2. @Lotta - preach on, sister.

  3. Musta been too much cheating drama with her and Orlando. My guess is that something concerning the two of them is gonna hit the press soon.

As for VS Angels, I always wanted to have Melissa Miller's body. Flawless.

  4. She seems so unlikable. Don't care, moving on. I'm sure she will be just fine :p

  5. I worked at VS when I was in college. We would always get guys coming in and asking for the posters when we were done with them. Big no-no though, since it's specifically in the models' contracts that all posters featuring them have to be destroyed. Any time a poster was taken down, we had to cover their faces with black permanent marker before putting them in the trash.

  6. Well she is gorgeous, but she must really be a pain to get canned. And what 'clothes'? Dont they model underwear?

  7. I completely agree with @Lotta! It's a lingerie catalogue; the models are supposed to have tits and ass, not be skinny bean poles. I miss Laeticia Casta

  8. auntliddy, who said anything about clothes? (though they do sell clothes through the catalog)

    1. I buy so more clothes in the catalog for work at an office where I need to dress professionally believe it or not. There is a lot of tacky stuff but a bunch of cute stuff too

  9. @lotta, i agree with you about the skinny part, but as someone who is somewhat lacking in the breastage area, I don't mind seeing the bras being modeled by women who also need to rely on the push-up/padding options.

  10. Whatever. I'm not buying a bathing suit cut down to the navel no matter which model is modeling it in the pictures.

  11. She looks like she's selling camel-toed granny panties.

  12. Dammmmmnnn.. Who did she piss off? She's gorgeous for sure so she apparently must be awful. That's too bad:( she sure does make a cute baby!

  13. When I think iconic Victoria's Secret models, I think: Stephanie Seymour, Jill Goodacre and Laeticia Casta. I remember thinking these were REAL women when I was a young girl. I am a loyal Vic Secret shopper - preferably on the internets, the stores get on my nerves. They're so messy! But, I really don't pay any mind to the models. They all blur together. I do love Vic Secret's bikinis and undies. You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to wear that PINK crap, however.

  14. Stephanie Seymour in VS she's my fave VS model.

I also agree the excuse they gave about her not selling is BS. You walk into their store and her face is everywhere. Besides, I'm pretty sure we don't buy our bras based on who modeled them for us!

  15. They don't have any quality clothes any more. Any size is a hit or miss. Their underware shreds worse than Maidenform - and that's just sad. I quit buying years ago. It got crazy when I ordered a sleeveless shirt in 2 different colors and received 2 different sizes. This was after jeans stopped being made in Canada. Sad. They have good cuts to their clothes, at least in the day.

  16. The quality has gone downhill.

I get Miranda and the other dark haired VS model confused sometimes until the other one opens her mouth and shows her pointy teeth

  17. I'll take Adriana Lima over Miranda any day!

  18. I stopped shopping them years ago all crap made in china and not cheap...

  19. I don't understand how they can make that claim. OK, Miranda wore the purple push-up model xyc bra and the hot pink model idk panties, let's check the sales the figures?

    1. agreed. I'm guessing it might have more to do with the fact that she is now (gasp) 30...and a mother. but that would be illegal, so....

  20. ot- i miss clothes from pier 1. every once in a while i will come across something from a thrift store, but they just don't make clothes like they used to. vs included.

  21. REAL women come in all shapes and sizes. You don't need to have big tits and ass to be a real women.Sorry, just wanted to let it out because I'm tired of hearing people say "real women have curves".

    2. Yes, thank you! I don't really expect sympathy for my #skinnygirlproblems (ha), but the whole Real Women Have Curves deal bothers me--last time I checked I was a woman, despite the flat chest.

  22. She was dropped by another company too because apparently she wanted less face time for more money

Although that article doesn't specifically say that, it's what I previously read.

  23. As a former VP with VS, I can say with certainty that there are only two things that can get an 'angel' fired.

    1. She's asked for more than what Les is willing to fork over for compensation - and negotiations have broken down beyond repair. This happened to Gisele - she didn't choose to leave, her contract wasn't renewed.

    2. Bad press. Either something is going to come to light - or, something from the past is about to break, that could reflect poorly on VS. They're hyper sensitive about the girls personal lives, and love to see them 'happily' paired off with celebs that will bring secondhand buzz to them.

  24. Miranda looks like a gnome to me. I have even met her in person. Cute, but i don't see how she became this unbelievably rich, popular model.

  25. I worked at a modeling industry after graduation - I was a lowly office worker - not one of the pretty people, and from my experience a sizable percentage of the models I worked with were difficult as well. Translation: major stuck up C words. Not all - but enough. I don't buy the company's claim that Miranda didn't sell as much merchandise as Candice or Alassandra. Miranda was their most well known model. Or maybe I just can't get past the fact that Alassandra looks a lot like Hilary Swank. Candice I can believe helps sell a lot of product though. Girl is hot!

On the bright side Miranda doesn't have to worry about Bieber hitting on her at next November's annual Victoria's Secret Fashion show spectacular.

  26. Never thought she was attractive. Her eyes are so far apart she looks like she had fetal alcohol syndrome, and I'm sorry, but dimples on a 3-year-old are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e, but on an adult, it makes the face look disfigured. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think her face looks like a pre-pubescent girls. She does absolutely nothing for me (speaking as a straight woman-but still). I agree the old VS models were best.

    ReplyDelete
  28. maybe she wanted more money?

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ethane - exactly what I was thinking. Ugliest underpants I've ever seen. At least cotton grannie panties are honest.

    ReplyDelete
  30. big thanks to @Jessica on behalf of all the "disfigured" adults on here!

  31. I think the clothes and PJs from the catalog are a poor quality. I purchased some PJs a few years back and they did not hold up.

Now for the stores, I only buy one item...the Body Bras for me and my daughters. They are the most comfortable and fit all of us (of different sizes) perfectly. And I always take advanges of the free panties. 90% of my undie draw is the free swag from them.

  32. When it comes to curvy VS models, how can no one mention Tyra Banks??

    1. She was a fabulous VS model, Heidi Klum too. Also co-sign on Laeticia Casta and Adriana Lima.

  33. I get my free panty coupon every month and I get bathing suits on their website after they have been marked down significantly. But for lingerie, I go to Frederick's of Hollywood.

I have to say knowing that they didn't renew Gisele's contract as well as Miranda's makes me kinda happy. Hopefully, this shows the other girls not to get too big for their britches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Patty - same here. I love that I filled my drawer almost full of free undies.

  35. Maybe she's just too much of a c*** and difficult to work with.

Thanks Malibu for the inside scoop. I think its a combo of hard to work with and scandal.

I think Marissa Miller is gorgeous too, in a way a VS girl should be. The new ones seem a little skinny. Not saying they all need big boobs but shouldn't look like they haven't eaten in a week. Especially the PINK girls since that's marketed to teens. Those girls really should have some meat on their bones as to not influence the young'ins.

  37. She turns thirty in a couple of days. I was let go a few weeks before my 30th birthday when I was a part time cocktail waitress going to grad school.

  38. She's also no longer ambassador for David Jones (major Australian department store). So, yeah, someone needs a new manager and an attitude adjustment.

  39. In Oz one woukd think MK was the first lady for how much coverage she gets.

As a guy never been a big fan of VS, reminds me of why I hate strip clubs. I will take reality over fantasy any day.

Most people don't know the real story of the VS founder. Pretty sad.

  40. I'm stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre.

That's my go-to standard for a VS model. If Chandler wouldn't utter her name to Joey, she's not VS quality.

    ReplyDelete
  41. People who think 'real' women come in one size make me stabby as all fuck. I gained 100+lbs with my pregnancy & it took me 2 years to work it off, so I've had my weight all over the spectrum. Never once did I not feel 'real'. That shit is rude as hell and sounds bitter.
PS- my bf has dimples and he's the hottest thing ever.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Unknown - If you believe Himmmm about the Room 23 thing, you CAN have Marissa Miller's body, rates negotiated hourly or by the night...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I've got the ginormous tatas, they're not all that. Women come in all sizes, curvy and straight. If you don't have big ones, feel blessed. Your shoulders and back are happier for it. VS's straps are thin and cut into my shoulders. I don't need push up, I need hold down.

    1. Amen! I've fallen victims to many cutting VS bras and wouldn't think about wasting another dime on them. Now I wear Freyas. They are full support, come in sexy styles and go up to 44 H. Sorry to sound like a commercial, but I love them.

  44. Now I believe all the blinds abt her. Has a bitch streak

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Malibu, thanks!

Im willing to bet scandal + asking too much money for this one

she's featured daily in the DailyFail and in street style blogs, she has one of the highest profiles amongst the angels
and its def. not because she's too thin because then they'd have to fire Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio, and a big etc

    ReplyDelete
  46. She is a bitch and as someone who knew her back in the day said to me, She has a face everyone wants to punch

    ReplyDelete
  47. She was also fired in Australia by the clothing chain David Jones that she represented for being a diva and difficult to work with.
