Blind Item #2
This former A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee and still has A list name recognition, despite not working very much the past few years has been trying to get her life together. One of the things she has really worked on is trying to stay sober. She went to rehab so many times early in her career that Lindsay has nothing on her. She has slipped over the years and slipped again, but always managed to pull it together enough so she did not have to go to rehab. When I say always, I am excluding of course the six month period where she did drugs with her daughter, but that is another story. Anyway, she is doing better and one of the things that has gone on with her getting better is that she no longer needs her A list actor husband. If you had asked her a year ago, she would have said she needed him which is why she stayed. She says she is more healthy and is finally ready to move on from him.

ReplyDeleteDemi only made it to the golden globes. Never even nominated for an Oscar. This is completely out of the blue, but Goldie Hawn has aged pretty badly. I have always wondered if she had substance abuse problems and I can see her and Kate partying together.

I think Antonio stayed for his daughter now she is older I can see them finally throwing in the towel. Melanie did live for him for a long time.
ReplyDeleteIs really Banderas A-list in the USA? Don't misunderstand me, he is a great guy (unlike javier bardem, but that's another story), but the only movies he has made since Philadelphia and Interview with the vampire are those Spy Kids ones, and they are crap.

The way this is worded is kind of strange. There's no indication her husband had anything to do with her substance abuse problems, and yet now that she's getting better, she's ready to dump the man that didn't dump her at her worst? Lovely woman, ahem.

ReplyDelete@phoenix, I read this as someone who hasn't been strong enough to leave a dysfunctional marriage, but now that she's getting better, she can put him behind her. If this is Melanie Griffith, it's true he's not the reason for her substance abuse problems--she's had those for a long, long, time--but his cheating may have made it difficult for her to stop self-medicating.

Just a sad situation all around.
I was thinking Melanie too, except for the avoiding rehab part. Antonio was very frank about her recent rehab. I think it made the news because he didn't participate. I think he said something along the lines that it was time she dealt with it for herself or something like that.

ReplyDeleteI just finished RFO's book. What a narcissistic, arrogant, self-deluded ass he is! I always thought he must be bad news, but reading his pathetic excuses for his terrible choices really confirmed it.
ReplyDeleteI read Tatum's too. She's a good egg. She's been truly victimized-mostly by her dad- but really tries to accept responsibility for her own screw ups. She's someone I'd love to have lunch with. Seems like a lovely lady.
My guess is Melanie, because she had the misfortune to fall I to bed with RFO.

I too thought it was Annette Bening but whilst Warren was A list for many years, he surely isn't now unless he is considered perpetual A List. Annette has a string of Noms.

This is Melanie. A year ago, she almost left him for cheating and the divorce rumors were flying, but she stayed, because she couldn't be without him. He's actually been cheating on her for years. She's probably finally at her ropes end.
ReplyDeleteKate & Goldie have been getting hi together (pot & probably more but they're pretty open about the pot) since Kate was a tween or maybe longer, certainly not just 6 months.
