As someone who was actually actively involved in the punk movement, and no, not silly Green Day shit, but Sex Pistols, Television, Buzzcocks, etc., none of these people are dressed "punk," least of all Emma. She looks beautiful, but not punk. The only people who came close in these pics are Madonna & January, doing a glam Wendy O.

As for SJP, never got what people saw in her, either as a fashionesta or as beautiful. I think she's a good actress, or at least was in the stuff I saw her in before Sex In The City. Never watched that.

And the ugly train continues down the track, with special mention of the olsens-(shudder)- creepy! Abd why r we always aeeing giselle?! Her husbands a dick, and the pics are always the same- giselle hokding baby, walking baby, playing with baby - havent seen her son since baby born. She just not that interesting or newsworthy.
I think Madonna looked amazing. The theme was "Punk", and she is one of the few guests who seemed to understand that. If she wore this outfit anywhere else I'd think it was stupid, but not for this.
Mary-Kate Olsen looks the same as she does everywhere. Ratty hair, disgusting fur, too-big clothes dragging on the ground. If I didn't know this was the Met Gala I would assume she was just going to the pharmacy or something.
Gwen Stefani looks so boring. I expected more from her for this kind of event. I thought she would look wild.
Madonna: it isn't possible to be hot when you should be in an old folks home. Oh, and please let Reba know where you will be so you can room together and gross everyone out wit your "sexiness".
Olsen sisters: making youngish look old trend is never going to happen. Give it up.
Tiger: the only way you could get a woman with your goofy face is if you are a billionaire. Oops sorry. I guess dreams do come true.

The theme of the party was Punk: From Chaos to Couture. I'm sure Madonna dug thru her closet and got the authentic vintage Gautier, Westwood, etc. She and SJP both got into the spirit of the event, seemed to have fun with it, so more power to them (and a very, very few others). It was a one-night thing; pack it all away now.
The Gisele/Tom = Barbie/Ken made me LOL! RIGHT ON!
Does Olsen Thing one not know the difference between punk and pumpkin? Why's she wearing one of Mrs. Roper's outfits from Three's Company? Madonna got the concept best.
If I'm not mistaken, each person invited was dressed by a certain designer, and that is basically how they got their invitation. So for some of these terrible outfits, I excuse the person wearing them because they probably didn't have much of a choice if they, say, only had 1 designer offering their outfit to them. I actually think a lot of these outfits were very tame and not "punk" at all!
It is surprising that Gwen didn't seem to "get it," but I'm guessing she doesn't like to be predictable and since she was told to do punk she didn't wanna do it. ;) I think she looks amazing!!!
Ginnifer Goodwin tries too hard. she irritates me and I don't know why. It looks like Miranda and Emma got their dresses at the same place. most of these outfits are horrendous starting with the top photo of Tom Brady all the way to the last photo.
Hate January's too literal makeup but the dress and shoes are fab.
