It could be one of the greatest PR moves of all time. This actress, although probably no higher than a B- list who primarily is in movies has had a number one movie in the past six months as a co-star. No bottom filler for her anymore. Anyway, also within the past six months she and her significant other split and her PR team has created this fascinating story that our actress was devastated by the split and crying herself to sleep every night when she was even able to sleep and that she is the ultimate victim of love and the stories are numerous and they imply that he ex was cheating on her and because her ex is notoriously press shy, no one can get a statement from him. So, her story stands unquestioned when in fact, it was her who has cheated multiple times during the relationship and left her significant other for another man who she had bee seeing constantly. During this press onrush she has tried to take care to not be seen with him because the public is entirely on her side and she has been getting more press than she has ever in her life. When the stories die down then she will come out of hiding with her foreign born actor lover.

ReplyDeleteErrr I didn't hear anything about any relationship she was in ever. If it weren't for CDAN I doubt I would know anything about her, period. Has she been in the news a lot and I am just oblivious?

DeleteHer rating is fine, definitely not higher than B-, but I don't remember anyone reporting on any of her relationships either. Maybe because everyone was so focused on Renner camping out inside the closet.

ReplyDeleteShe was the lead in Prince of Persia. In Quantum of Solace, she was the Bond girl who ended up dead, covered in oil. I've never heard about her love life. Maybe she's popular in the UK?

DeleteI loved her in the movie Tamara Drewe, she was quite the nympho in that movie. It makes sense now why she was so dang good in that role. Dominic Cooper was great in his role too....love him!

OK, now I'm convinced the internet is full of old ladies and snooty gay guys! How can you not know Gemma Arterton? Not only is she a Bond Girl, but she's been in every movie for the last couple years that called for a fresh-scrubbed princess/goddess type... that's a lot of movies, LOL.

DeleteWell if you're not into bond movies or campy over the top action flicks she is pretty easy to miss. Honestly she seems like she would be more well known amongst the male population.

Sorry, @Stephen. Never heard of her at the time of the blind and still don't know her now except thta she was apparently that girl in Hansel and Gretel. Hey, I know people who didn't know who Joss Whedon was until Avengers (and even now, he's just that guy who directed The Avengers). It's all about what you follow. But the fact that so many people are saying huh? on this blog suggests that the problem is not with us. Girlfriend just isn't all that.
