Bumps and bruises are a regular part of this A+ list celebrity/diva. They come as a result of her drinking. She recently broke her wrist after a particularly nasty fall while drunk, but refuses to wear a cast full-time. She doesn't want anyone on her show to ask about the injury because she sucks at lying. Good at fooling herself, but sucks at lying.

Well...shit happens. I'd fall, too, if I teetered around on those ridiculously high heels she's always in, sucking down the unlimited supply of champagne she has access too!!

DeleteNot every drunk is a discontented ass. I was a happy drunk unless you pestered me with the day to day realities of life...which Mimi doesn't have. She has nannies, managers and hanger on'ERS to take care of her.

Not at all,MelOncholy. I'm saying drinking can make you forget those things. Mind that hangovers are a Bitch. Its all you mentioned plus sick. My solution before sobriety was to stay drunk.

Eh, lots of people hurt themselves when they drink on accident, especially if you're prone to accidents anyway. Heck, my sister constantly has bumps and bruises from her job as a nurse. Maybe she should up her iron intake?

I like Mariah Carey and this makes me sad for her... I hated when she felt the need to keep up with the younger pop chicks comin up after her, wearing tiny age-inappropriate clothes to compete and stay relevant... she's better than that. Get better MC.

@Lola, I think the implication that she hurt her arm from something other than drinking comes from "makes you wonder how she hurt her arm".

So you're saying she'd be less reluctant to admit that he hit her than that she's an alkie? I also interpreted it that she must have really hurt her arm to be wearing the cast.

She barely walks without assistance, so I think she toppled over or into something. Maybe it's not drinking but an illness she doesn't wish to disclose? Hollywood finds you amusing and gossip-worthy if you're a drunk, but maybe not so keen on hiring you if you have a chronic or debilitating condition, such as the inner-ear disease/balance problem former first lady Mamie Eisenhower had when all thought she drank? Or something that affects muscles in flares, such as MS or arthritis.
ReplyDeleteMost drunks describe themselves as "happy drunks". Guess what; most others would not describe your behavior as enjoyable. Embarrassing, exhausting, draining, irritating, depressing, ANY or all of those will probably work.
