#1 - This C list television actress on a hit cable show is in her 30's. Has not stopped her though from dating a high school senior. Yep. He was a summer intern on a project she was doing and they hit it off. He is 18. I wonder if they will go to prom together.

Actually I find the opposite. If a guy dates a much younger woman he gets a pat on the back. If a woman does she gets dragged through the mud. Look at all the crap woman like Demi Moore, Madonna, JLo, ect... get for dating guys who are much younger.

I suspect that the 18 year old guy treated her a lot better, than than the men her age especially the ones in the entertainment business who are pigs as a rule - he likely hasn't had a chance to become totally jaded and misogynist. Give him time.

It would have to be a very exceptional 18 year old to have anything to talk about and they do exist, super intelligent or more engaged with the world than their counterparts who are still on full hormones and nothing thinking much past that and as Inger said, maturity does not necessarily correspond to physical age.

ReplyDeleteI would find an 18 year old insufferable. I'm mid 30's and my husband is late 20's and I still find a major life experience difference a challenge from time to time. Sometimes I look at him and think " aww I remember what it was like to feel like that at that age "

If its a short time thing, on set, you talk "work", you gossip, then you stay in bed for a while, then you work another 10 hours then leave for promotions for 1-2 days.
