Off Topic

It turns out that Yule Logs are an actual food and not just a Chevy Chase joke from Christmas Vacation.

  2. Every year KOFY TV in SF plays hours of Christmas music set to a burning Yule log that Santa stokes. It's awesome and I get to have it on Christmas Eve and Morning. I just love it!

Apparently there is a foreign pop Singer spending her down time with a Yule Log.

  5. I think the Entern is referring to the buche de noel. It is a traditional Christmas yule log cake that every food magazine and nearly every cooking show has featured yearly since Julia Child prepared one on TV in 1964. Um, I'm a little shocked that "Enty" would be ignorant of a chocolate-covered, rolled sponge cake.

I still remember the golden spun sugar "moss" Julia made to go with it, and the meringue mushrooms. I've never been brave enough to make one.
