I actually feel bad for Bruce Jenner. I really do. It's hard enough to go through life with gender issues, but then to have PMK hook her claws into you and then spawn with her... that poor man must have so many issues, it will take the rest of his (her?) life to sort them out.
well really at his age is it really necessary? I would imagine all that surgery would be REALLY complicated and take a toll on ones body which could lead to strokes/heart problems etc.

This post makes me very uncomfortable. Trans people do not need any more public ridicule and discrimination than they already get. I understand that all things KarTrashCan are easy to mock, but I cannot go there with Bruce right now. If he is transitioning, with or without surgery, than I wish him all the best. He has the resources for a therapist and a support system to help him through this. Many trans people are not so lucky.

I used to feel so sorry for Bruce because Beelzebitch seemed to emasculate him. But I agree that this stinks of storyline, like he isn't announcing the transition until the footage is in the can and speculation has created enough buzz. After reading a lot of the comments on this, I really don't know what to think about Bruce. If he is transitioning, I really hope he doesn't go the Chaz route, and do a reality/documentary about it. I hope he can do so in a manner that is best for him.

Personally, I think life is hard enough, I simply cannot imagine what it must be like to be confused (for lack of a better word), and how hard that must be. It is a tough place to be emotionally, and my heart truly goes out to anyone stuck in that situation.
I am very happy for Bruce if he (since Bruce hasn't said that he is indeed identifying as a female, I am going to use masculine pronouns)is finally in a place where he feels comfortable enough to be true to himself, and take the steps necessary to become the person he feels he should of been born as. Please - tired of all the sympathy for poor bruce (he or she). He chose a life in the spotlight and could have stepped away from the cameras at anytime but didn't $$$$$. In fact, he is still a big part of kartrashian reality world and collecting $$$ so don't give me any 'please respect my privacy I may be going through a gender identity crisis' bullshit. There are people who come on this site and drop the cruelest crap I've ever seen. The person who no longer posts that used to go on about how proud she was of the KKK, for example. You mistakenly assume that this is intended as a personal insult to individuals who post replies later and/or to repeat posters which it is not. It's simply the way I read the site. I know for a fact that I'm not the only person who reads it this way. I also know someone who obsessively reads every post and comment here, every single day. I would find that exhausting.

If someone is aggravated enough to argue a point with me, I probably won't see it. I am not told about every comment, thank the baby jebus. That certainly doesn't negate someone's right to give me a ration of shit if they feel like it and I wholeheartedly support their right to do so. If someone actually wants me to know they're giving me a ration of shit, which some people seem to, then tacking it on early to a post the next day might be a better option. At least it's pretty likely I'll read it. Whether I choose to respond to it or not is another matter.
Frankly, I don't expect comments to/about what I say, nor can I think of a reason there should be many of them. I suppose there might be some from a particular celebrity's fangirls whom I've pissed off with a bitchy comment about the object of their affection. There's no talking to them so it's irrelevant whether I read or respond to their remarks. As a rule, I'm clear in my mind about what my opinions are but I'm hardly an extremist of any kind. I saw the picture in the Daily Mail. It was sent to me by a friend. If Bruce is transitioning, and unless there is photoshopping going on it appears that he is, then this has to have been a life long struggle for him, one he is finally trying to work out. There will be enough issues with his children, issues that will have to be worked out in private without us, the public, getting all up in his shit. He's really going to catch hell from the US sports establishment. In fact their silence is very unusual.

But back to Jenner.. After watching the show for all these years, there is nothing out of the ordinary about this. It makes complete sense. Good for Bruce... I figured when the sons started making a regular appearance, that something was up. There was a sudden child-to-parent support there that was not evident in the past.

But I agree that this stinks of storyline, like he isn't announcing the transition until the footage is in the can and speculation has created enough buzz. Exploiting such a delicate issue to keep famewhores in business kinda diminishes Jenner Bender's 'poor victim' status. Otherwise, I have great compassion for the transgender community and respect their choice of gender as well as their privacy.

After reading a lot of the comments on this, I really don't know what to think about Bruce. If he is transitioning, I really hope he doesn't go the Chaz route, and do a reality/documentary about it. I hope he can do so in a manner that is best for him.
If this isn't happening, I have no words..
Personally, I think life is hard enough, I simply cannot imagine what it must be like to be confused (for lack of a better word), and how hard that must be. It is a tough place to be emotionally, and my heart truly goes out to anyone stuck in that situation.

ReplyDeleteI am very happy for Bruce if he (since Bruce hasn't said that he is indeed identifying as a female, I am going to use masculine pronouns)is finally in a place where he feels comfortable enough to be true to himself, and take the steps necessary to become the person he feels he should of been born as. And maybe PMK isn't quite the devil she appears to be and helped to create an environment that has helped him get to this point. I am just so afraid to how she is going to spin this in her favor. She is either going to play the victim and say she was deceived all of these years or that she is this incredibly understanding and wonderful human being.

Please - tired of all the sympathy for poor bruce (he or she). He chose a life in the spotlight and could have stepped away from the cameras at anytime but didn't $$$$$. In fact, he is still a big part of kartrashian reality world and collecting $$$ so don't give me any 'please respect my privacy I may be going through a gender identity crisis' bullshit. Ultimately his decision to be in spotlight is his and not PMK so don't blame her either. Also enough with trying to be politically correct on a snarky gossip site. Plenty of pc forums you can follow but what makes this site fun is the politically incorrect items and commentary. Most of the stuff on this site probably shouldn't be discussed in polite company so don't try to pick and chose what you think we should or should not talk about. Kristin expressed an opinion that she didn't think the (probably faux) Robin Hood scenario presented was ethically correct - that's a far cry from "crapping on the homeless" and not even close to the worst thing here. And I say that as someone who disagreed with her opinion.
Bruce has been a laughing stock for years w/ all that plastic surgery. Why would anyone care about his feelings now?

ReplyDeleteSeven, I read everyone's comments that have been made up to the time I get to a particular item. It's usually later in the day when most people have posted already. I generally do not go back and read more comments after that although sometimes I do. It's random.
You mistakenly assume that this is intended as a personal insult to individuals who post replies later and/or to repeat posters which it is not. It's simply the way I read the site. I know for a fact that I'm not the only person who reads it this way. I also know someone who obsessively reads every post and comment here, every single day. I would find that exhausting.

If someone is aggravated enough to argue a point with me, I probably won't see it. I am not told about every comment, thank the baby jebus. That certainly doesn't negate someone's right to give me a ration of shit if they feel like it and I wholeheartedly support their right to do so. If someone actually wants me to know they're giving me a ration of shit, which some people seem to, then tacking it on early to a post the next day might be a better option. At least it's pretty likely I'll read it. Whether I choose to respond to it or not is another matter.
Frankly, I don't expect comments to/about what I say, nor can I think of a reason there should be many of them. I suppose there might be some from a particular celebrity's fangirls whom I've pissed off with a bitchy comment about the object of their affection. There's no talking to them so it's irrelevant whether I read or respond to their remarks. As a rule, I'm clear in my mind about what my opinions are but I'm hardly an extremist of any kind. I seriously doubt that my snarking is worthy of a reaction from most sensible people.
Seven, I found Kristin's bizarre comment attacking Christopher Guest feeding the homeless to be quite shocking. It's nice that you think she's nice and perhaps she is in other circumstances. My opinion of her fucked up comment and attitude about this hasn't changed.

If Bruce is transitioning, and unless there is photoshopping going on it appears that he is, then this has to have been a life long struggle for him, one he is finally trying to work out. There will be enough issues with his children, issues that will have to be worked out in private without us, the public, getting all up in his shit. He's really going to catch hell from the US sports establishment. In fact their silence is very unusual.

I figured when the sons started making a regular appearance, that something was up. There was a sudden child-to-parent support there that was not evident in the past.
