This former A+ list mostly movie actress didn't want to be embarrassed on national television so sent a check in the amount of $50K to a former cast mate to keep her mouth shut about the boyfriend the A lister stole all those years ago that has made the two co-stars bitter enemies.

ReplyDeleteI loved her when I was younger - Steel Magnolias, Erin Brokovich, even Pelican Brief - but I do not like her now.
I never liked her acting, used to call her Twitchy Roberts because she was always fidgeting or having some kind of facial spasm

Wasn't Annabeth still in high school when she was shooting the movie? I thought her mother was with her the whole time and she was the only one too young to hang out with the cast after hours.

DeleteI call B.S. on this. Annabeth Gish was 16 when they filmed Mystic Pizza. She came into town to film from Cedar Falls, Iowa, and her mother was on set with her the whole time. The reunion mentioned is when they cast got together and did a number of interviews for the 25th anniversary of the film. Annabeth admits in one of the interviews that the rest of the cast would all hang out and party, and she was sort of left out because her mom was always with her. Even on the press tour, they flew her to New York from Iowa on a private plane, and then flew her back the same day so that she could go to her prom. I don't see how this could possibly have happened. This blind would make much more sense if it were Julia Roberts and Lily Taylor.

ReplyDeleteThis doesn't say that it was Annabeth Gish's boyfriend during the filming of Mystic Pizza. It could have been at a later date. The two still would have been co-stars on Mystic Pizza and together at the reunion. When the boyfriend was "stolen" wouldn't make a difference.
