Blind Item #7
This actress is the definition of B list. Great actress who does television and movies and does them both frequently and well. She is on a network show right now and is in a new movie. The one thing she doesn't do is eat and when she had to change for several press events for her new movie people got a glimpse at her frame. One big bone and someone literally gasped when they saw her bare upper body. No one is sure how she is alive.

I always thought it was a by product of their coke habits...do they really have to be that skinny to get roles? I think it has been proven that they don't.
Or is the coke or adderall to keep them skinny?

DeleteAlison Janney is tall and always been very thin. Shes doing Mom. And Masters of Sex on tv now and voiced Mr. Peabody and Sherman which came out yesterday. Might be a winner

ReplyDeleteThe camera does add 10 pounds and remember Portia DeRossi admitted it was like a competition on Ally McBeal as to who could be the skinniest, she gain weight after she quit. And this was before anorexia was really talked about.
ReplyDeleteMany women get focused on the wrong kind of competition, not who is skinniest girls who can out act the rest of your peers should be your focus.
My first two celebrity women I ever saw up close were not too skinny but they were so petite and short, I thought both of them were taller and bigger on TV and I gasped - but I also noticed all the male actors were shorter too, they were with hockey players who are tall and big. I think because most actors are not that tall and not that big most of the women have to be even smaller to look good beside the actors.
Is Julie Bowen in any movies coming up? She's so skinny.

Allison Janney fits. She has always been very thin, but you could tell she had lost in that Masters of Sex's sex scene.

ReplyDeleteRe: The Ally McBeal comment: Courtney Thorne-Smith also lost weight while on the show - tiny wrists and arms, thin face - and stated the cast had done much to "support" Flockhart and the show during public criticism of her weight. I've often wondered if the cast lost weight to make Flockhart appear less thin (healthier) by contrast while she dealt with this issue? And if this was voluntary on their part or if they were pressured.
