This A list mostly movie actor who was losing his A list status until a recent non-movie project vaulted him firmly back into A list kept his male lover at a distance during an event this week but was glued to his side before and after as they arrived and left in the same car.

ReplyDeleteI hear you disco but not now- his biggest thing now is tv. He is not just guest appearing in a few tv things- he is starring in a hit series. He is no longer mostly movies- at best A list movie and tv actor.

ReplyDeleteIn the last 5 years he's done 9 movies, 5 film shorts, narrated one episode of a television show and then the two seasons of house of cards (the non-movie project referred to here). I seriously don't think that 2 seasons of a show and one narrating 1 episode of "Gorilla School" warrants trying to say he's mostly television.

ReplyDeleteSpacey - an acquaintance was at the event. The boyfriend sticks as close by as Kevin allows at events, and cameras do catch him every once in a while.

ReplyDeleteI think is safe to safe that both Spacey and Wright maintain their status as movie actors. House of Cards is such an hybrid, they had Fincher as a director and they shoot the whole series as along movie, even the cinematography doesn't belong to tv but to film making. It's for sure also than neither Spacey nor Wright will be doing network tv in the future. It's a one time thing. Wright has a movie out this year and other currently filming. Same for Spacey.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many movie actors doing cable or now Netflix shows even network TV. It's great for us, but not great for all those unemployed network TV actors.
