Blind Item #4- The 80's

This very recent Academy Award winner/nominee filmed a movie back in the 80's and was accused by his co-star of sexually assaulting her during filming by penetrating her during a sex scene.

  1. I think that's known as rape isn't it? If she accused why didn't it go to court?

    1. Accused and charged are two different things. She may have made the accusation to people working on the film and was paid off, made it much later(statute of limitations), or she did take her accusations further but there were no grounds( like hard evidence) for charges or trial.

  2. Yep, Bruce Dern. Movie Tattoo with Maud Adams. The movie was controversial because he claimed the love scenes were "real". He always gave me the creeps.

Strange, as Violet noticed.he is a recent Academy? It took her 30 years to say it just now? Dunno I was too young in the '80s so waiting for your guesses.might have happened God forbids, but 30 years to say it when he gets some nomination?

    1. Maybe she was worried it would hurt her career back then.. the post didn't specify when the accusations were made so hard to say.

  6. OT I know its been said before, but this site has to be a major repository of malware. My PC refuses to operate smoothly once I hit this site.

  7. Let's not get carried away. At the time it was widely known that the sex was "real" in that film and it wasn't rape.

  8. Kee if you're on Firefox or Chrome try the browser plug in Ad Block Plus. It eliminates all the ads except that Celeb TV thing or whatever it is on the sidebar. It takes ads out of everything, including Twitter & Farcebook.

  9. She would have had to actually go to the police and press charges against him for it to go to court.

  12. Thanks Rangersgirl. I'm on firefox. But does ad block stop malware? The ads are a pain but its the malware that turns this site into sludge which makes going from page to page slow and annoying.

  13. Regarding Tattoo, Dern said the love scene was real, but Maud Adams denied it was real. Maybe he did force himself in her without her consent and she was just to embarrassed to admit it and is only saying it now. Who knows.

Another possibility is Mickey Rourke and Carre Otis in Wild Orchid. I swear to god it looks like actual penetration during their sex scene.

    1. Basil - I think they were dating when they made wild orchid- probably did have real sex.

  14. I only surf the internet on a mobile device as I bought a new laptop and had a virus within a day. Geek q's had to disinfect it. No ads run on ipad.

  15. Bruce Dern worked a lot in the 80s. Unfortunately the woman could be one of many actresses.

  16. I read that Carre's relationship with Mickey Rourke was very screwed up and weird. It almost drove her crazy. She was a model with an unusual look, and he shamed her constantly.

    1. I think there are blinds about him beating her and throwing her out of his house naked, making her sleep with his buddies, all kinds of messed up stuff. I'm sure he did mess her up but she was probably a mess before too.

  17. The Mickey/Carre "real sex" thing was rumored and strongly hinted at at the time the movie came out.

  18. The Mickey/Carre "real sex" thing is not a rumor. It happened.

  19. @texas rose It sounds like one of the blinds from a couple of weeks ago - where the actor almost ruined one of his girlfriends.

  20. Come on.... this is Tommy Girl in Risky Business (subway scene)

    1. QA Guido - they dated for a while after filming so doubt she had accused him of sexual assault unless this whole blind is bs or if assualt comment was just a joke made by actress later.

  21. keetz4 - ads are a very common source of malware, which is why using an adblocker is recommended. The way it works is, a criminal creates a fake ad or embeds malware in a real ad, then uploads it to an ad server. The ad servers put the ads on websites on a rotating basis. If you happen to visit a site at the time the infected ad appears on the site, the malware will install itself on an unprotected computer.
That's why some people will report getting a malware warning from a website, where other people are not. It's not the site, it's the ad. The person who got the warning had an infected ad load, and the person who didn't get a warning had another, harmless, ad load.

Thus, blocking ads greatly reduces the risk of picking up malware.

Besides Adblock Plus, install Flashblock. Flash objects can contain malware, too. Flashblock will automatically block the running of flash elements, replacing them with a button you click on the run the flash. That way, it won't run unless and until YOU choose to run it. Another layer of protection.

  22. Did Maud Adams not sue Bruce Dern to imply the sex scene was real in The Tatoo?

  23. And apparently Maud and Bruce were rumored together

  24. I did not know that about Tattoo. Never saw it. Huh.

  25. Throwing Sean Penn in the mix. He doesn't like women and i imagine him doing this. He won his last oscar 5 years ago ( recent in my eyes) and was huge in the 80ies, so tons of movies and costars to pick from.

  27. Not true naughty.. if police decline to press charges, the victim can still take the perp to trial(non criminal) at least that's what police told me. If there were any trial, we would have likely heard about it.

  28. I agree w the Dern/Adams guess. I think she did complain about this and many things and was labeled as difficult, and it killed her career.

  29. With AdBlock, you can even stop stuff like that annoying CelebTV thingy that shows up, or any photo you don't want to see.

Mouse over it or video or flash item. A BLOCK tab should pop up. Click it, choose whatever menu stuff you want and click ADD FILTER.

The BLOCK tab doesn't show up on photos. For them, right-click the photo and choose the ADBLOCK PLUS: BLOCK ITEM option. Choose menu stuff, click ADD FILTER.

It's also neat because you can block a specific photo/video, or every photo/video on a site. Very handy if you frequently visit a site or blog that posts photos you don't want to view.
