Blind Items Revealed

May 17,2013

This B list Academy award winner/nominee mostly movie actress fainted a Cannes, not once or twice, but four times in the span of 24 hours. She says it is because of the traveling and the heat. The real reason is she eats once a week, maybe twice, and has been battling an eating disorder and lately has been losing that battle.

Carey Mulligan

  1. Poor girl; I hope she gets help. She was really good in Drive, but it took me the whole movie to figure out who she was

  2. She's looking pretty good in the latest pics i've seen of her so hopefully she's got better. Once a week - blimey.

  3. Oh no! I love Carey. This is sad to hear. I so hope she gets help. This is def an eating disorder.

  4. Even most anorexics eats like one grape/carrot a day.

I don't know how anyone can function after one week without food when there is no reason to do so.

Be interesting to see a physiological explanation of how the body reacts to food deprivation over a one week period. Let alone over the same routine over months. Your brain would definitely not be functioning at 100 per cent.

People who are forced into those situations start hallucinating I believe.

  5. Drugs have changed the game of eating disorders. Hope she is/gets better

Old fashion way without drugs: boozing and chain smoking for two days. no food. Eat two days. again boozing and fags

    2. Exactly. Now you have all sorts of easily accessible illegal AND Rx drugs to help. That's how girls end up looking like THIS more regularly now. It's easier to maintain with drugs. Their bodies go into a wasting process where you lose your muscle mass, really dangerous.

Nobody around me is a size 10 anymore. Their legs look like my arm. it s a lot of pressure if you don't look like them. I am now curvy and ppl call me fat when I am a size 12 or 10. Men are the worst enemies as they push you to be a size zero

Aha... been there done that. it kills you. oh Ent I have some scoops from old hollywood. Met a former great journalist photographer. Hope to see him tomorrow too. he was talking about former A listers italian actresses and I heard that Gina Lollobrigida was the only ita actress not to do casting couch. she had a different method, she was turning people against each other. apparently it worked and the "bitch" got few famous roles

  7. Lollobrigida was one of the few Italian actresses not married to a mogul: Loren, Cardinale, and Mangano were all married to the biggest producers of the day (Carlo Ponti, Franco Cristaldi, Dino DeLaurentiis). But I doubt that Anna Magnani or Monica Vitti had to take part in these methods.

  8. Lady H that dress on Nicole looks almost like the one she was wearing in yesterday's pics. Interesting.

  9. Oh wait I went back and it was a completely different color. Doh! It did however hang on her without any shape.

  10. Size 0 is going overboard, unless you are 18 and still filling out. Starving yourself to a 1 or 2 is fine.

Count thanks for the starvation episode. my long legs will be exposed again lol

  13. Alright, there aren't as many good ones as when I search for thinspiration, but this is what I've come up with.

(SFW Pic) Seems alpha male site ReturnOfKings.com has a fat shaming week.

This demotivator is always good for lols.

A yin/yang of body shaming buzz words.

This one from an anti-cheese faction may do the trick.

More proof PETA is an organization of assholes.

    Some lols.

    1. I gotcha sugarbread, everybody has to feel comfortable and healthy in their own skin. Just don't do it by feeling bad about yourself, do it because you totally dig yourself and want to be the awesomest sugarbread EVER. Hugs, chickie!

    2. Sorry if that got a little preachy, sugarbread, do your thang however you wanna! Just remember: awesome

  16. @Angela - in the case of Monica Vitti, I think everybody was well aware she was with Micelangelo Antonioni.

And of course, Guiletta Masina was with Fellini so no casting couch practices for her also.

  17. @count like the husky one

  18. I hope there are photos of overweight men in that fatshaming selection. That's the even more priceless phenomenon, fat men -particularly the 300 - 400 pounders, sorry Enty, fatshaming women. More women should say honey when you look like all the dudes from True Blood I'll get on that treadmill.

The bottomline is it is never worth making yourself sick to achieve an impossible standard set out by shallow friends and strangers and that goes for men and women.

We all can improve ourselves in many aspects of our life but the goal should be a healthy and realistic one and do it in the way that is healthiest because shocker, that is the way that is also going to keep the weight off and keep you healthy and happy.

When you get older you realize how much time you wasted caring about the opinions of people who you now realize were never worthy of one nanosecond of your concern. If only we all understood that in high school, we'd have been so much farther ahead. And I envy the few teenagers I have met recently that seem to already get that.

    Off my soap box.

  19. @ttm.. no youe good boo, sometimes i just need a harsh reminder that i can do better if i apply myself and eat better. it's not other people's voices. i need to get healthy for me, not everyone else. sometimes a little humor helps. love ya boo

  20. @Tina Well said.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Could she even be alive if she ate only once a week? As has been said, even anorexics usually eat every day. Maybe they only eat 300 calories but they do eat every day. Once a week, really??

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Tina: Nah, there is very little in the male fat shaming dept. I think it is because most guys don't care. It aint like dudes are trying to drop 20lbs real quick to fit into jeans and a t-shirt. Maybe the guys who were once in shape, then ballooned up care, I don't know.

  23. that makes me so sad

    I love her-she is a terrific actress

  24. Poor Sally Sparrow :(

  25. average size American woman is a 12

    ReplyDelete
  26. Rajah it's difficult though because sizes are really non-standard, and also need international translation.

    From memory:
    US 12 = UK 14 = AU 16

But I currently have (AU) size 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, & 16 clothing that fit perfectly. I love Internet shopping too, so I dream of a day of consistent sizing!

    ReplyDelete
  27. And sugarbread - good luck with the diet (that you are doing totally for health and personal fulfilment reasons, etc, we love you as you are ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Where is Carey Mulligan by the way? She was everywhere and now not so much.

Angela Giada De Laurentiis parents are listed as Alex De Benedetti and Veronica De Laurentiis. Was her mother the daughter of Mangano?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I really doubt this is true - Enty seems to like to exaggerate the eating habits of actresses. It bugs me.
