Blind Items Revealed

April 16, 2014

This B list reality star on an A list network reality show has been told she won't be asked back next season unless she drops some weight. I think she looks good.

Cheryl Burke (Judging by the amount of weight she has now lost, she must have taken it really seriously)

  3. She looked healthy but for dwts standards she looked like a whale next to the other girls.

  4. I hated that people were calling her fat. She's always had a great body and assholes just need to zip it.

  5. She's a bit curvy for a professional dancer. She has a great body, but she is noticeably bigger than the other girls.

  6. I liked her better when she was more herself, she didn't seem to be trying too hard to be the stereotypical / trite/ reoccurring / sheep.
    IMHO.

  9. I'm not firmiliar with her but it's aweful to fat shame someone. This is how people get eating disorders.
Does anyone remember Tracy Gold from Growing Pains ?

  10. well I'm on the fence here

I like Cheryl a lot and think she is talented and she looks great to me

but her body type is not typical in the dance world-have a little experience with a family member regarding this

it's gonna take a long long time to change any attitudes about dancers' bodies

that world is very cut-throat about weight and appearance as opposed to talent-you need to be both to be successful as things are now

I don't agree-but to say that it isn't an extremely competitive career field would not be honest

  15. expanding on that thought about Cheryl

I feel like the pressure to have the "correct" body type for dance creates so many drug, body image, smoking etc....problems for wannabe dancers

especially when they start so young and cannot possibly know what their adult body will be

you could be super talented as a youngster and teen when most dancers decide to pursue professionally-and then your body matures and throws you a curve ball you didn't expect. It is heartbreaking. And then the cycle starts.....

    sad

  16. However it seems to me that the producers are forgetting about who is their audience, women by far, and the average woman is going to identify first with certain celebrities and then the dancers, the hot guys cause they are hot and then Cheryl is the only dancer that looks like the girl next door, Americans love the girl next door. As long as she is good shape to dance what's the problem.

Compared to some of those cold personality less anorexic female dancers. Besides this is ballroom dancing - funny how the show So You Think You Can Dance doesn't mind some of the female dancers with thighs that could strangle a man.

  17. Mom danced, as did my daughter and I. Once I got my boobs, I was told ballet was out.

  19. Her body always looks great.

  20. I don't watch the show but, from all the pap photos I've seen of her, I didn't think she looked big. I just thought she looked healthy. Very sad.

Oh, and as a Clevelander, a little "WHOO-HOO!" that LBJ's coming home. (Although I'm still pissed about The Decision and the fact he did that in my hometown, back in CT.)

  23. As much as I want to be getting my drink on, I've got 8 years sober so I think I'll stick to my celebratory Diet Pepsi instead. :)

  24. Everyone wants to hate on this kind of stuff but if all the dancers had bodies of average people the show would have been cancelled long ago because the ratings would be low.

  25. They should've given her an ultimatum on her hideous mop head hair. Did she ever fix that? Yikes!

  26. F*&% that s*@#!!! Cheryl Burke is FINE as hell!!

  27. On her little body it looked like she was carrying overweight of 5 pounds! They acted like she was Mama June. That's what's so upsetting! She looked so good to me with her original weight.
