Blind Items Revealed

May 5, 2014

Despite becoming a huge fashion mogul, this former A list performer(singer)/reality star was not invited to the Mat Gala this year because Anna Wintour thinks the fashion brand and the normal style of our A lister is beneath the Gala. I disagree.

Jessica Simpson

  1. From a woman who's had the same haircut for centuries and wears turtlenecks all year round.

Why is she in charge of the Met invites anyway?

  4. Anna Wintour is flailing.

  5. So easy, should not have been a blind.

  6. @Lotta, I have to agree - she is flailing. Time for someone with new inspiration to take over the helm.

My daughter has some of Jessica's clothes. They are flattering and well made for the price.

  7. Hey Anna, didn't you invite that Kardashian to your party? Where are your standards?

    1. +1 Anna lost all her credibility at that very moment.

  8. Yep. I have a Jessica sundess and love it.

  9. Jessica 's clothing line is probably low brow but did Anna bring in the KTrash for the Met Gala? You cant go any lower than those pigs.

  10. See Sunshine knows the trooth Anna!

  11. The clothes are cute, young, & well made. Jessica is worth more & is more successful than most of the fashion people that were there. I think this has more to do with jelousy.

  12. Normal & low brow would be Issac Mizarihe's Target & QVC lines.

  13. Most all of today's designers, even so-called upscale ones with Italian names like Armani, use Chinese and other third-world factories. So most of it is the same cheaply-made junk. Anna Wintour is a delusional b!tch.

  14. agree with Tina

what up with Anna's look anyway? For someone who is supposed to be an expert in fashion you would never be able to tell from her appearance

I'm tired of her shitting on people to raise her self esteem even it it is Victoria or Jessica

I like both of them better than her

  15. Anna Wintour's hair is so outdated and boring. How did she ever get dubbed the queen of fashion with that do?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I have some Jessica clothes.

The Bob is probably the haircut that best suits her face or hides all the flaws however one can change up even a bob from time to time.

She clearly wears the turtlenecks and scarves because she does not like her neck but the only time anyone wears a turtleneck these days is if you are participating in a winter sport like skiing or shovelling 4 foot of snow off your driveway. The scarves OK turtlenecks no.

    1. @ Tina.
I was reading and began to think I was reading about Disne Keaton and that random photo today. I like Diane a lot, but funny this is almost innerchangeable. Lol

  17. Time for a new captain of the helm, Anna.

Now if I disappear, promise someone will come looking for me.

  18. So KimK can come dressed like gran's drapery but Jessica Simpson is sub-standard? It's a famine!

  19. Actually I'm pretty impressed with Jessica ' s line...they fit well, they are not tasteless and they have a bit of flirt. I have been keeping an eye out for her designs and I like them. As for Anna she probably doesn't get as much.payola ahem ad revenue from Jessica.

  20. I have a couple of pair of Jessica's shoes, they are cute, comfortable and decently priced. I'd tell Wintour to kiss my ass all the way to the bank.

  21. Zelda zonked this baby right outta the park!!!!! Where you at girrrrrrl?!??

    ReplyDelete
  22. Wintour puts the human urinal on the cover of Vogue, but Simpson is too low class for a gala.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It was the Mat Gala. That may have totally different dress codes than the Met Gala. Besides, I have a whole Jessica Simpson ensemble that 1) cost me quite a bit and 2) always garners me tons of compliments so I like her.

  24. I like Jessica's clothes too. They are made well and cut nicely for us 'fuller figured' ladies.

If fashion is current and changing with time and trends, then why would the same person be the head of it for 20 years? Isn't that the opposite of current and evolving?

    ReplyDelete
  25. How much input does Jessica S give with her fashion line? Does she just approve stuff or does she actually 'design' things?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I disagree as well, but Jessica needs to BRING BACK MY MALIBU SKINNY JEANS.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jane: She claims to be very hands on, but that's what they all say! Either way, Jessica has done very well for herself. Unfortunately, what makes her line so accessible and successful is the same thing that secures the scorn of the fashion industry: she has done a great job of making high-end trends at affordable prices. Thus, her line is inherently reductive.

  28. Oh, jessica a problem but kartrashion and nutty boy are acceptable? Shes whacked.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thanks LH! I always wonder about how much the celeb designers impact the line.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I really like her clothes and shoes. I've got several pairs of her shoes. She has a good business and if it keeps her from singing then it's a good thing.

Anna needs to give someone else a turn with the bitchy crown.

  32. Highly illogical. By denying access to this event to this Jessica female, the elder female has shown that she fears the power that the younger possesses. She has given away her fears and gives the younger a window into how to defeat the elder. By keeping the younger female close to her, the elder would be able to spy on her and if need be, destroy her at her leisure.

As for the user "It's Just U" (Logic Note: Using the form U instead of the correct spelling of YOU can make the identification of meaning difficult. Perhaps this is an error in the processing of the the binary code on your computer. I suggest scanning your device for any foreign files such as a virus or self destruct program installed by an enemy) Aside from that, the term "fuller figured" is illogical. There is no set figure for a human, therefore, none shall be more full or less full than the other. Perhaps I could be of assistance with the mass displacement technology we use that allows for beings such as Soundwave to pass for a common human electronic item while keeping his true form at transformation.

  33. If you're going to let someone as cheap as Kim Kardashian go, then there is no harm is Chestica being there.

  34. @Shockwave awww, diddums. Does sebody need to show off their fancy schmancy edumacation?

I used 'fuller figured' because she caters to the more ample, or buxom if you prefer, ladies. This is simply a figure of speech.
No need to get your britches twisted. I heard that can be painful.

And BTW, the U in my handle is my first initial, but you go on and feel free to criticise people.without having any relative information.

Nighty night now. The grown ups are talking.

  35. Asshole having a bit of fun, Ray. Don't forget the having fun part.

How is someone an asshole for trying to say that we shouldn't have to use labels such as "thin", "fat" or "full figured"? Aren't we all equal? Isn't that what all those black people were fighting for back in the 60's? (See that will be considered racist, but had I said "those fat people" it would be Okay.)

You know, it's no wonder there are so many post about the Real Housewives and other asinine reality "stars" on here, so many of the people here are so fake it's scary. You want social justice as long as it's the sexy causes but when it's not something you can hoist a flag, look at others and act like you are better than they are, you don't give a shit about it. I'm surprised more of you aren't saying you're vegetarian straight edgers so you could really feed your egos by thinking you're better than everyone.

  36. Anna Wintour is a twat.

  37. Im sure Jessica could buy and sell Anna several times over--so hopefully she is laughing all the way to the bank.

  38. "From a woman who's had the same haircut for centuries and wears turtlenecks all year round."

Anna Wintour is a horrific skeleton, snakish woman who should not have the status she does. She works for a magazine. Why do I even know what her face looks like?

I love Jessica Simpson's stuff by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I was in Lord & Taylor on 5th avenue Wednesday and they're selling Jessica's stuff.

That's a good enough endorsement for me.

  40. I don't follow the Met Gala really, but my general impression is that in days of old, the people who were invited were old money, or the New York social set, designers, and people who patronized designers. People who collected couture and maybe had good taste.

When Anna Wintour took over Vogue Magazine, up until the early 90's there had almost never been a celebrity on the cover. 90% of the covers were professional models. Then she started doing the occasional celebrity and in the early 2000's the cover transitioned to being virtually 100% celebrities.

She has a stranglehold on the Meta Gala invite list and apparently she decided that people who buy and understand haute couture shouldn't be invited, but instead people like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian belong.

Ugh. I'm not a snob or anything but I get tired of celebrities and trashy reality stars invading EVERY aspect of society, politics, and art. I mean, the White House Correspondents Dinner? Way overloaded with celebrities as well. It's hard to tell the difference between the WHCD, the Met Gala and any movie's red carpet. Same old photographs of the same old celebrities.

  41. LOL at all the commentators who think Jessica Simpson should have been invited to the Met Gala (including you Enty). Neither JS nor her clothing/accessory line can be remotely considered high fashion. It would be like complaining why there isn't any Thomas Kinkades housed inside the Met amongst the Vermeers and Rembrandts...

(using this standard, Marchesa is also a questionable invite... fortunately for Georgina Chapman, her hubby Weinstein has enough clout to make her a 'real fashion designer')
