For a very long time it appeared that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes had split. He was on movie sets hooking up with other women and Eva Mendes was spotted walking Ryan's dog less frequently. Then news breaks that Eva Mendes is pregnant which totally contradicted everything that anyone was saying about the couple to me or to any of the tabloids. Well,
Radar says that Eva got pregnant while the couple was having some ex sex and that Ryan was "blindsided" by the news and the couple is still not a couple except that they are now having a baby together. Maybe the quiet from both of their camps is they are trying to decide what to do. Do they get married? Do they pose together in a show of solidarity? Is Ryan wondering whether the baby is his? You know Eva is not a quiet person or anti-pap so I'm guessing this stay quiet thing is coming from Ryan and she is just trying not to rock the boat. It could be a result of her supposedly having miscarriage back when she was using drugs and went to rehab and now doesn't want to say anything for fear of something happening. It will be interesting to see what the story is that is spun for public consumption when this all comes out and what the story will be in the future.

ReplyDeleteWow, I had no idea eva had such a tumultuous back story! However it happened, a baby is on the way, be thankful for the gift and focus on baby, not yourselves. (I say be grateful because i have dear friend struggling with fertility issues for like 5 years. Very sad. Love her. ) # babies are good news!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteEva's about the same age as an old manager of mine who found out she was pregnant. The guy wasn't really her BF, she just told him, she was keeping it, this could be her only chance to have a baby at her age & he could be involved if he wanted to or not.
ReplyDeleteSince no officical announcement has come out, betting there will be a DNA test done after the birth, if it's his, an official press release will come out, & a spread in People. If not, really no announcement, except a blurb on that Life Events page of US.

Wonder if this is true. Presume that at her age it's not so easy to get pregnant so fertility treatments involved. But some women are very fertile. The whole thing of a celebrity trying to cover up being pregnant is so weird.

I thought this because my doctor, at the time, harped on my nil chances of getting pregnant past 40 and all the crap science I read. I too got accidentally pregnant at 40, so I can see where this could happen.
I thought Mendes was also the scuzz who left a great guy for asshat Gosling, so it would serve her right if it's the ex's kid.
Count has it right. NEVER trust a woman once the breakup is in motion.
