Sandra Bullock Faced Stalker At Her Bedroom Door

So, you take a shower shortly after midnight and when you get out of the shower you hear a loud bang coming from inside your house. You move cautiously to your bedroom door and when you reach the doorway, you see a man dressed all in black slightly down the hall from your door but facing you. What do you do? Well, if you are Sandra Bullock you slam your bedroom door and lock it and call 911. That is how close her stalker got to her. The same stalker who, when he was arrested had cut out photos of Sandra and handwritten notes which said they were married and that her son Louie is his. When police searched the stalker's house they found seven guns, including assault rifles. I can't even imagine what was going through Sandra's head about her own personal safety and what she must have been thinking about the safety of Louie while she was locked in her own room and waiting for the police to arrive. I bet the nxt morning though she started paying for guards at her home 24/7.

    1. Hoe did she not already have airtight security though?

    2. That was my first thought too.

  3. Reading that made my stomach lurch. How terrifying and how very lucky she is that she was able to get help.

  9. It's hard to say what anyone would do in that situation without time to think, but I can't imagine locking myself in my room while someone could be going straight to my child's room.

  10. Terrifying. I dont know what I'd do, but I'd definitely need to change my drawers.

  11. I guess that I should add that I'm not trying to criticize Sandy B. She had to be going through hell not knowing if her son was safe.

  13. Was her son actually in the house or is enty guessing and if he was, was he alone or was there. A panic room. I'm no fan of guessing here in a way that makes it look she threw her kid to the wolves to protect herself.

  14. He looks like a big guy. She knew she would not win any physical altercation. Her only hope was to call 911. She wouldn't be of any use to her son dead.

I will never criticize any celebrity for hiring security. Remember when Rebecca Schaeffer was stalked and murdered by a crazed fan?

  15. There are a lot of stories about celebs having their houses broken into, so it makes me wonder how good their security really is.

  16. Other articles said the police didn't say if Louie was home.

  17. And people wonder why celebrities need to earn so much.

  18. I read that her son wasn't in the house at the time.

  19. How frightening! Thank god she wasn't harmed.

  20. I'm surprised she didn't shoot him. He'll be back on the street in no time.

  21. I remember a story about RDJ being high and breaking into his neighbor's house and passing out in one of the kid's bedrooms.

Another story had some guy breaking into the Texas T-rex's house and making a sandwich, but the T-Rex was not in the house.

  22. Holy! Shit! That is absolutely Terrifying! Poor girl. Glad she and Louie were safe. I can't imagine if Louie were home that she would have just locked herself in her room and let him defend himself. Seriously this guy needs to be locked up in a psych ward forever!!!

  24. This was the night of the Spike Guy of the Year awards where she got the Decade of Hotness. Had she taken the pains to get her admirers McConaughey, Keanu and Hugh Grant to accompany her home... a missed opportunity.

  25. Dominique Dunne was also stalked and murdered by her ex-boyfriend.

Bullock is lucky that she can afford security, plenty of "regular people" are stalked and harassed and can't do a damn thing about it.

  27. Holy shit--this is some frightening stuff. Sounds like Sandra acted very wisely under severe pressure; good for her. I'm sure she's traumatized, though. Poor thing.

  28. No amount of security is going to stop somebody this demented. I hope they confiscated all his guns and made it known that he cannot purchase more legally. Frankly if I was in her shoes I would visit somebody like Anthony Pellicano and get some guys to make this man go away. You do not endanger a person's family and get to walk away in my book

  30. Louis was spending the night at his nanny's but I wonder what she would have done if that wasn't the case.

  31. Hopefully she will now move and get better security. The feeling of being followed is scary enough, but him actually being in her home must be terrifying!

  32. Terrifying. I'm glad she's ok! I read a bunch of articles that stated her son wasn't home at the time; he was at the nanny's home for the night.

  33. Just wondering if it's common that a kid spends the night at a nanny's house. Just seems bizarre to me. Hiring a babysitter, yes. Sleeping at a nanny's house, not so much. And yes, glad he wasn't home.

  34. Beyond terrifying. My brother-in-law has worked closely with Sandra a handful of times. I don't want to go into too much detail, but his work did involve being at a couple of her homes. When this story first broke I was talking to him about it and he was shocked the guy was able to get inside given the amount of security she already had.

  37. Scary! To become that vulnerable in your own home just as you're ready to go to sleep... If it were me, and I had the money, I'd want to hire an armed guard to stay inside the house until I felt safe again.

  38. @Vera Christina I recall her boyfriend only got about five years in prison for her murder. Even though it was brutal, and he'd also been abusing her for months, if not years. Disgusting.

  39. Why is it that these stars who are so rich they can afford mansions worth ten or fifteen million dollars, but apparently can't afford decent security systems or guards?

I think a lot of these crimes are inside jobs. Not the stalking cases, but a lot of the burglaries.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maybe he was with his nanny because she had been alerted that this nut was in town. Maybe she wanted Louie off the premises.

Why the eff don't we have stricter stalking laws here in America? With all the political "clout" Hollywood has why don't they band together and demand it. At least in California & New York. Who exactly has to get hurt for this to happen?

  41. If I'm going out for the evening, especially if I plan on having a few (or a lot) of drinks, I'll have my son spend the night at my mother's or a trusted friend. I don't see that as being much different than Louis staying the night with his nanny. I'm sure they're very close.

    ReplyDelete
  42. wow. with $, that dood would wish he'd never stalked me. got that close once and i made it out - i think i'd lose my damned mind in the criminal and civil courtrooms i'd drag him through.

    man glad she is ok.

i totally remember rebecca schaeffer. poor girl.

  43. Don't want to put a fly in the ointment, but I think this incident may shed light on Sandy not being mother of the year. Why wasn't her kid with her? Is she only taking him out for photo ops? I can't imagine not having my kids near me, and Louis is still very young. That part of the story is really weird to me.

  44. @henriette.. it was the night of the spike tv guys choice awards and she had louis stay over at the nanny's house b/c she knew she would be out late all night and louis could play w/ nanny's kids...
    small blessings

  45. That sounds like a horror movie including the super creepy guy. Yikes. There are only a couple celebrities killed by a fan, but it happens.
