This B list mostly movie actress is one of the least successful actresses I know who is still A+ list when it comes to name recognition and is loved by the vast majority of people asked. She recently moved cross country because her married producer boyfriend wouldn't leave his wife. She was tired of hiding and pretending. Then he left his wife so our actress now is going to move back and all that goes with it but he still wants to keep everything secret until they have a few months together under their belt. She should agree because fans are going to hate her if they find out she is a part of this home wrecking process.

ReplyDeleteWhat amazes me is the tons of endorsements she gets for a 36-year-old actress who hasn't made a film in years. Her manager must be great and her Q score even better. She's done amazing things with her run-Katie-run post-Cruise sympathy. I never would have guessed it would keep her going this long.
Nutty, but if you look at actual success nothing pans out in the long run. Bobbie Brown was cut short. What else? Oil of Olay? Doubtful many were fighting to get that gig. Will it last? Her people do push her like you say but what comes of it? She seems to get blog coverage alot but what have people seen her act in recent years? How long can that last?

The thing about endorsements, though, is that you have to like, trust, and want to be like the person in the endorsements. As a potential Bobbie Brown or Oil of Olay customer, I don't really want to be like Katie Holmes. Show me Cait Blanchett or Vanessa Williams using the product, I'll probably listen a little closer.
ReplyDeleteBobbie Brown was meant to be 3 years. That was signed right after the divorce when Bobbie was riding on the "Go Katie" hype in the press. One year later they cut it short and hired Kate Upton. Shows you Bobbie thought what you did- that Holmes would be someone people would want to buy from but it turns out it didn't last. The hype of that has worn off and now she has to sell herself and her acting and it doesn't appear to be doing too well. Oil of Olay? IDK. I guess some like it but for me I consider an older generation using it. Maybe it's the middle aged or older house wife who still can sell to?? Who knows what will really come of it.

ReplyDeleteLets be honest, Bobbi Brown isn't exactly cutting edge. It's a good idea brand with a few stellar products, but lately the palettes have had very little color payoff and just a general disapointment.
I wonder what Bobbi Brown will do about the Kate Upton photo leaks?
Olay is a great line, with really impressive deck of ingredients. And don't forget, Katie is half owner of Alterna hair care.. she will be just fine.
But she is a very interesting guess for this blind.

ReplyDeleteI do like Katie, but honestly, she seems so passive when it comes to men and relationships. She was set up wth Chris Klein by her agent which turned into a long term relationship, and let's face it, the Tom thing was an arrangement, (whether just a financial one or a romantic), still a setup. Josh Jackson has always said he was the big pursuer in his relationship with Katie.
So I do believe she's as single as she seems. Some man is going to have to really pursue her to make it happen.
I was thinking Katie Holmes def fits the description, but is she really loved? Not sure.
