I don't know how much he is paying her, but it has to be a substantial sum for this A-list mostly television actress on a middling network show to be bearding for this A list celebrity. He must have been about to get outed or something because this is full on damage control like I have never seen. Two weeks ago she was still sleeping over with her boyfriend.

ReplyDeleteWhile I don't condone closet-dwelling, it's easier to understand why an NFL player (Aaron Rodgers) would hesitate to come out. Football is so testosterone-y. But a vocalist? Don't get it.
we were talking about him using January Jones to beard yesterday in the JJ reveal. Enty had mentioned that JJ had been a beard for someone in the blind.

ReplyDeleteKow Won - Groban has a large following in the Christian community. His first big hit was "You Raise Me Up" and he's released other Christian music as well.
ReplyDeleteHe's not just a vocalist. He's been acting, and seems to be trying to focus a little bit more on that than his other career. While it might not hurt him in the music world, it could hurt him in acting, (which is why so many gay actors don't come out and have beards.)

Groban's fanbase is almost the same as Clay Aiken's (conservative middle-aged white women) but much, much bigger, and Groban's team probably remembers the hit Aiken took when he came out (people threatening to sue him for "fraud" and "impersonating a heterosexual" - I'm not kidding). So out comes Kat Dennings and her boobs to "prove" he's het. Uh-huh.
