Hey Virginia you used to live in Flatbush in Brooklyn right? I know Ms.girl did anyway. Anywhoo after all these decades they finally rebuilt and renovated the Loew's Kings into a concert hall and its opening soon. (For those who aren't from there the Kings was a majestic cathedral like movie theater that is a landmark. It closed about 35 years ago and went into near total disrepair u tip whoever just renewed it to use). I saw pictures it looks beautiful.

this was 15+ years ago but i remember going to a movie theater twice in brooklyn TWICE. I only went twice because of all the marijuana smoking in the theatre. YES people, it was "contact high" thick, i bullshit you not. i would be FLOORED if that is the same one Sandybrook. it was on a corner, i think with a CVS (or duane reade) across the street and a bank across the other. POSSIBLY on the corner of flatbush/church ave????

ReplyDeleteThe Loews Kings was farther down by Tilden Avenue. Google some images of it you will remember it it was probably never open when you were living there. It was in the middle of the block. In front of Sears basically on Flatbush and around the corner from Loehmanns.
Maybe he got sick of trying to figure out what Tiny is saying?
