  11. Smoking! I've cut down a lot. The point is moot though, since I'm still suckling on the cancer sticks. I've tried the patch, and the gum. I tried cold turkey, but I think some huge, stressful situation came up, and I gave in on day two. It will happen!

    1. Don't give up the fight, Pip! You could do what I did which is to start smoking the ganja. I stopped smoking ciggy boos but now I'm a stoner. OK, so maybe that isn't the answer either.....

    2. I've started using a Vuse e-cig at home and smoking actual cigarettes when I'm at work or school. I'm down to 2 packs a week which is good but I need to quit, again.

    3. I've been hitting the ganja a bit more! The only issue is, I alway want a tub of Ben and Jerry's, and anything else edible when stoned. I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't paranoid at all. That used to be the reason why I didn't smoke it for years.

  12. Gossiping. I hate how frequently I bash my co-workers and family. Well, I don't hate it, because some of those people are beyond insufferable...but I do feel slightly guilty about it.

  13. I occasionally have a bad attitude. I'd like to clean that up. Otherwise I'm just about perfect. :-)

  14. Agree with this Web site being a bad habit. But I love it, so...

    1. I'm sure I drink way too much wine.

    2. I crack every bone in my bod, except my knuckles. Drives my husband INSANE in the membrane. But he snores, so we're even.

    3. I worry too much.

    4. I obsess too much.

    5. I shop too much. But you can never have too many shoes or bling.

    6. I can be a hoarder of sorts (see shopping obsession above).

  15. Constantly putting my hair up. I play with my messy bun, taking it down and putting it up again - my mom pointed it out. And if my hair is down and straight I twist the ends. I don't have extensions /wigs, but I notice all those women constantly adjusting the ends if the hair to the front. (Kardashians / Wendy W). Ugh. I don't want to be like that.

Of coarse checking this website isn't tbe greatest if habits. But I should worry more about sleeping with my iphone and waking up a few times thru the night and googling random thoughts.

And I never consider that my dog is sleeping when I want to grab her / play with her / make her dance / or laugh at her big ears when I reposition them for amusement.

  16. Wasting time on trashy celebrity gossip. Any kind of chip - Fritos, potato chips, Cheetos (the spicy jalapeno are to die for). And that's it - otherwise practically perfect in every way :-)!

  17. syf. same here.. my dog is always sleeping b/w my legs or in my right arm nook and i always rub her lower back/ butt out of habit but i forget she is asleep and sometimes she gets agitated and huffs but mostly she loves it. but she always wants to be touching my body in someway and i know she loves it when i rub her body except when she's sleeping she doesn't want to be moved
i forget when were in bed and keep unconsciously keep rubbing her lower back/ but until she huffs and rolls over and i'm all like "i'm sorry habit"" kisses!!

    1. Really ShugahT?
I feel a little better now.
      I didn't know u had a dog, a small one I take it. ?
For the most part I think mine likes it too, except sometimes I don't think she's in the mood for me to turn her into a puppet to dance for me- esp outta deep sleep.

(Funny, as others mention, it was my loving mother who pointed this, and my hair up and down, issue out to me. If she hadn't I'd never known. And there would be no problem. Lol)

  19. I'm lazy. And I procrastinate.

  20. I have a bunch but the worst is smoking.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I should probably lay off the sauce a bit. However, my worst habit is definitely procrastination. So in a round about way this site is going to be the death of me.

  22. And I don't even know how I can forget this one: Pinterest. Shit. The amount of time I waste on that site is epic. And I'm pretty sure, I will never get to the 1,000-plus recipes I have pinned in my lifetime.

I also overthink shit like all the time.

Gayeld - LMAO. I know that many of my bad habits are what others perceive to be my bad habits.

  23. Cdan and picking at my cuticles

  24. 1. Smoking...everyone in my family quit but I just can't seem to get the resolve to do so myself. ..not willing to pick up any other drugs to replace it though as I gave up my worst habit/addiction five years ago (booze).

    2. Talking on cell while driving - I'm hands-free but I know deep down I'm playing roulette.

    3. Slot machines....they're popping up all over the place by me (restaurants and stand alone video-gaming cafes) and I'm feeling the pull to go more often then I should.

My biggest problem is that habits often turn into full-blown addictions.

  26. @Vera, I read your cuticle picking comment and I shuddered. My husband bites his nails/cuticles and it drives me insane.

@Susan, I'm on the same list with all of your habits. I blame it on becoming a parent.

  27. If I have money, I have to spend it. It's not like I'll get a few hundred and go out and buy five video games, I'll buy my nieces stuff, buy something for my Dad, my brother, etc... I just can't keep money. I mean, I've been buying Christmas presents since January, as it stands, the presents are going to go under the tree and about 15 feet out from it. I spent $175 on a 12" Sideshow Zartan figure for my brother and that's only one of ten things I've already got him and both of my nieces 3DS XL Pokemon systems and five games each for them. I really need help (or a girlfriend to spend the money on, anyone know any single women near Ft. Smith, AR? lol).

  28. My husband picks his cuticles and it makes me bonkers.

Regarding perception of others on what we then presume are our bad habits, I find this FASCINATING. For instance, my mom always points out how I'm going in a million different directions and that I am cluttered in my closets and cabinets and hoard things. But, at the same time, my mother-in-law and my baby-sitter are fascinated by my ability to purge and they think my house is so clutter free. In addition, my clients think my house is immaculate and my mother always points out like the one fucking window I need to clean. So, basically, I blame all of my self-loathing on my mom. And drinking. And compulsive shoe shopping. Ha ha. I love my mom. She's coming back to Jersey in a week. YAY!!!! She's staying with my sister, though. LOL.

My family always says I'm too rigid, as well. I think because I make lists and I'm on time. You know, AWFUL habits to have. Can you detect my sarcasm?

syf.. yes my little 5lb boo loves to be touched at all times, just comforting to her. when i sleep on my side she immediately jumps to the top of my pillow and cradles my head from the top and lets her little feet hang off my shoulder blades.. she literally hangs off my cpap mask from behind. i joke that she has affection deficit disorder. if i am sleeping on my back she crawls in my arm nook and positions her body under my hand so i am cradling her.. she loves the attn..

  33. @Auntliddy, I do the same with scabs, but I've noticed that if I do it and put a band aid on it then do the same the next day, where there would be a scar, there isn't any evidence of there ever being anything there. Maybe it's good for it.

@Erik, so tell us later lol
