Blind Item #9

This A- list actor/comedian/host/host risked his career on a publicity stunt. Well, not risked it entirely. His employers who sanctioned the risk gave him $500K for taking the chance. They were more than pleased with the result.

Risking your career and making yourself look like a world class idiot for a $500k? Nice work if you can get it.

A lot of people think it was a PR stunt by the new owners to make people aware of this nonsense pageant. It hasn't hurt him a bit.

Wow- never would have thunk it(mostly because I don't think if him as an actor a,though he has acted). Thought Gervais and the GGs maybe. Announcing Mel Gibson was a presenter?
    Harvey I guess?

That's disgusting, if it's Steve Harvey.
It didn't make more people give a shit about the pageant.

That Steve Harvey guy was once in Fallon's program (I have only watched that once in my life, I do not know if he is a regular there or anything else about him for that matter). I do not think the Miss pageant could damage his career more that his stunt with Fallon, it was nothing that could kill careers in hollyweird unless he was a republican.

Steve Harvey for sure. I feel like it was such an OBVIOUS publicity stunt. From the minute I saw the headline I thought "Well Steve Harvey knows how to get people's attention".

If true, Miss Columbia should sue.

... but they care a lot more about the runner-up.

+1! Exactly! I assumed it was a publicity stunt because--honestly--how stupid are you if you can't read a notecard. He was the emcee and, "Steve, if you're reading this--THAT IS ESSENTIALLY YOUR JOB, MORON." I don't give a damn about this pageant except to think even less of it.

True. The winner got a lot of crap. Some days, I wish social media didn't exist. The dregs of society screaming at the world is obnoxious.
    Plus bad spelling.

If anyone paid him to do it, it would've been Miss Colombia's handlers. She got a ton of publicity out of this - way more than she would've had if she actually did win. She may not have been in on it because they didn't think she was a good enough actress to pull it off.

I don't believe this blind at all unless it's talking about someone other than Steve Harvey. How does he get ranked A-list?
