What A-list actress and sex symbol was pimped out by her father when she was still very much underage? After they would perform at a nightclub, some of them on the US-Mexico border, father would bring daughter backstage where she would orally service much older men. One gave her the gift that keeps on giving and she wound up in the hospital after taking some possibly illegal medication. When she was starting out in Hollywood and had to use the casting couch to get a role, she started drinking to numb the flashbacks.

I read a book about her, where the author said she was molested for years by her father, and it basically ruined her life.

It is also said that he severely sexually abused her himself, though this may have been speculation based on the fact that their dance routine was so sensual (considering they were father and daughter dancing in such a manner considered very sexy, especially by conservative American audiences, I suppose such speculation would be predictable). She was incredibly beautiful but she had A LOT of plastic surgery to make her look less ethnic. Among other procedures, her dark brown hair was bleached then dyed red, her hairline moved back permanently by painful electrolysis, and her nose reshaped by one and possibly more rhinoplasty procedures. If you look at photos of young, unaltered Margarita Cansino before her transformation into Rita Hayworth, the differences are striking.
