Well, at least I have to give credit to this A- list daytime actress for creativity. She is going to rehab but has managed to convince her fans she is disappearing for awhile for another reason.

Eating disorder can be hinted at because it is acceptable, and indistinguishable from hard drug addiction. Both leave the person gaunt and with personality quarks. Endo whatever was the official reason, with carefully planted whispers about eating disorders, because eating disorder is sympathetic, whereas "doing tons of blow" isn't.
Kirsten's endometriosis a few years back was supposedly a cover for rehab. She was off GH for over a year. I will say, she definitely has skin issues going on. I saw her at a fan event about 2 months ago and she looked horrible. She came out to the panel about midway through. We were told she had a migraine. She had a bandaid on her chin that maybe was covering a skin issue. I also seriously doubt her skin issues are keeping her off the show. She is going through a divorce...hopefully she isn't back in rehab. Methinks otherwise.
No, not Zenon! Can't imagine working on the same soap opera set as the spouse you are divorcing can make for an easy/productive work environment. The skin issue is likely a cover for an inhospitable work environment.

I LOL'd when I read that this morning! The stress of her divorce is bad for her skin, so she won't be appearing for a while?! OK, whatevs.
