I think the union would like a star to come out rather than a fringe player like Sam who got cut and some blamed him for coming out as the reason he couldn't stick, instead of the real reason, he sucked.
I agree, Sam was more interested in being famous than being a great player. But I might be too much of a distraction to come out mid season, unless he's putting a stop to a blackmailer.

Every year both in the NFL and Premier League there is rumours and gossip a major player will come out but it never happens. The truth is any player thats is even just reasonably good knows that being gay will overshadow his skills and harm potential earnings, as the fans are still very much prejudicial about homosexuals.
Just out of curiosity, but since I had relatives who fought in earlier wars so this country could have the freedom to legally discriminate against and subject its Black citizens to the back of the bus ala Jim Crow, does that make anyone who stands for all of the BS an asshole as well?

Again, I won't absolutely rule out there's a tiny chance that maaaaybe he's bisexual - I think that's a 'possibility' for a fairly large portion of the population, in fact - but Troy Aikman is NOT a homosexual man. I rarely comment on this site, unless I know firsthand of what I speak, and this is one I KNOW.
He has a name. Colin Kaepernick. Learn it and love it. He has made us take a good look at America and that is a good thing. If anything, he is a patriot because he believes that America is capable of better than what it is putting out now and he is putting himself on the line to make a statement.

Rodgers is determined to play it straight and Olivia Munn is happy to be his beard. Odell will not come out black Americans extremely homophobic. Look what blacks did to Michael Sam they did not accept him.
