I was stunned to learn this week that Nikki has had the most Billboard Hot 100 hits of all-time by a female a record which used to be held by Aretha Franklin.?

They are probably also including the tracks where she does guest vocals or raps in other artist's hits because I don't think mama has 73 hits in her catalog.

I caught that too. Pretty amazing. I remember how floored I was when I inadvertently learned the number of music sales Rhianna has to her credit, and her eye popping net worth as a result.

Type: nicki minaj tops aretha franklin - in Google search. Not all are necessarily huge hits. "Nicki Minaj has broken the record for female artist with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100..."

She doesn't write so either she asks for a cut for doing the song and/or touring her ass off worldwide.

Billboard includes all songs where the person is credited by name as the artist in their statistics and records. Because of how the music industry operates today, combined with all songs being eligible to chart on the Hot 100 instead of only official singles, a lot of long standing records have been broken over the past decade.

The artist with the most Hot 100 entries is Glee Cast, and the top male is Lil Wayne. Notably, these 3 acts combined have fewer than 10 genuine mainstream smash singles. The only one breaking records today who has the true hits to back it up is Rihanna.
