Fortunately I don't have a problem with any relatives. Family drama isn't our thing I guess.

My eldest brother. He's schizophrenic and I'm on his "kill list". Good times.

Oh man.. that'll do it - about the most difficult for a family to cope with. One of those things if it doesn't break you, it'll make a saint of you.

My niece. Caused trouble over my mother's will. She fought everything. She's lucky she was left anything.

A perv uncle is an actual molester. ALL OF US hated him growing up and when we got older. THANKFULLY, our family pretty much completely broke apart so I only see him like once every few years now.

I dislike most of my in-laws (esp. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law) and resort to copious amounts of wine to deal with them all.

In my family of origin, I have a cunt of an aunt and her demon spawn. Everyone else is great but those two are constantly spewing evil and vile shit about anyone and anything (yet call themselves "classy").

I am the asshole in my family, so if I disliked any of them, it is compensated by the feeling they have seeing me.

I don't hang out with people I don't like. Even family.

All my Mom's family are assholes so I avoid them. Never really knew Dad's family.

I see my sister every now and then but not often. We text and email all the time, though.

As I turn 75 in two weeks I, regretfully, have outlived my parents and two younger siblings. I wish I had one person left to HAVE a reunion with. I will be taking myself out to lunch April 5th. My best friend of 19 years dumped me in November when she found out who I voted for. It's gonna be one hell of a pity party, believe me!

  16. One of my younger brothers who think he's smarter than everyone else. He's an arrogant SOB!
He keeps sending me LinkedIn connection requests which I immediately delete.
Unfortunately, I have to make a decision on whether or not to attend my mom's funeral (if/when she passes) because I dislike him so much I don't even want to see him.
My wife says we could be the last into the funeral service; and the first ones out!
    I like that best.

My stepdaughter, who lucky for me lives thousands of miles away. She is a chronic liar and scam artist. She lies constantly about her health for attention: she's had (and recovered from in 3months) cancer, needed a kidney transplant (but none of her blood relatives were asked to test for match), has had 3 hysterectomies (so far). It got to the point where anytime she opened her mouth we would just laugh. I told her 15 years ago that some day she would be telling the truth and no one would believe her. I think she believes her own bullsh*t and could pass lie detector test. I used to feel sorry for her and wonder why she needed to lie but after 20+ years I don't care anymore.

I'm very lucky. I come from a great family and have a wonderful group of extended family. Yeah, we have squabbles, but they never last very long. Yes, sometimes we drive each other crazy, but we're family! ( I know you're probably throwing up in your mouth a little) ?

All of them. That's why I leave town at the holidays, and have wonderful vacations with interesting people.

  22. At least your brother has an excuse. Mine's just a controlling asshole. After my mom dies, I don't ever expect to see or hear from him again.

  23. Yep. Calling yourself classy is a sure sign of class, that is. *LOL* It's like my SIL going on and on and ON about how smart she is.

My family gatherings are few and far between, and usually only last a couple hours so I don't really have a chance to get too annoyed. Plus, besides my brother, everyone is over 50 so they pretty much ignore me anyway lol.

I don't like to go to gatherings. I have a slight case of agoraphobia. I'll go if I have to, but I usually have to dry heave into the toilet until my panic attack eases up before I leave the house.I'm also ashamed of my appearance. I do, however, dread running into my brother or my nephews. They always have some sad-sack story of not having a car, or their car is blown up, or they wrecked their car and have nothing to drive can you take me to see my doctor who is 70 miles away in the middle of heavy traffic.

  26. Sounds like my brother, who is also controlling and has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I can't wait to never see or speak to him again.

  27. Brother as well, younger. A narcissist, entitled loser and a thief. Stole from me, I can never trust him again.

    (Hortensia- shocker! Maybe it's you?)

dianavonthirsty - If you lived in London, I'd take you out. I appreciate your generation. Wise, hard working and fun to be around, especially the grumpy ranters, love those. I feel 75 sometimes, yet I'm half your age.

I have an Aunt who talked shit about my (at the time) 16 month old kid. It's REALLYhard not to punch her in the mouth when I see her, so I just avoid her.
