Blind Item #2

Several people including The Director's Wife and a one name still young actress have received random payments in the past week for supporting or at least not bashing Harvey Weinstein when they could have.

  3. Maybe Mol got her monies then talked, otherwise, she'd have gotten nothing.

  4. And this is why nothing will ever REALLY TRULY change. Women are STILL taking money to keep their mouths shut. So, nothing is changing, just reshuffling of everything to make it look like "changes."

  5. I wonder how outgoing Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter feels about this? He made sure ALL of Harvey's gals got VF covers over the years. He's a close, close personal friend! He leaves the mag next month. In January they both will be standing in the unemployment line! No more Oscar parties! Boo f'in hoo!

  6. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out @Boo -
I hope it's not just shuffling around to make it appear there are changes, but being the growing cynic, I have a feeling that the world of cinematography is just that...smoke and mirrors and the public are getting fooled all over again. NOTHING really is changing...just a few asshats getting tossed to the wolves, but the rest is all status quo.

For those in the industry: Is it REALLY changing or is this another PR stunt by all the networks and TPTB to snow us into thinking they are changing the way things are done in Hollywood?

I, for one, don't believe it will change. I think it will continue to be how it is, but more discreet. It won't be such an open secret anymore. it'll be a secretive secret among the few who abuse people and the system.

  7. @boohearne I am so with you Carter has pandered, feted and crawled to Weinstein while supposedly running a publication which prides itself on investigative journalism. Coward.

  8. Ahh, the only thing we care about more than our dignity....money.

  9. Boo Hearne, sharp observation. A third wave would include all the actresses who took H.W. up on his deal. Whores? Never liked Grayson. Will there be a backlash against those who pleasured Harvey?

  11. Yea @Bubbles - lol I do know that. /red face/
It's funny you mentioned it because I was going to delete my post knowing I was throwing out words that really didn't compute during my emotional tantrum. I never got back around to it.
