What liquor do you put in your egg nog?

  1. Last Christmas, I went caroling through downtown Atlanta after drinking 2 fifths of Jack Daniels.
I was met with a chorus of booze.

  7. Rum or brandy. Although truthfully egg nog is so good it doesn't need booze.

  10. Not an egg nog fan, but if I had to drink it, it's sweet enough so no sweet liquor. Bourbon I guess.

  11. Rum and brandy mix (hard to find but worth it), spoonful of vanilla bean ice cream, and a dusting of freshly ground nutmeg on top. And a 60 minute workout the next day to burn it off. I love egg nog (and egg nog lattes, thank you Starbucks). Tis the season... of elastic waist pants!

  12. oooh, oooh, oooh.... Wray & Nephew Jamaican overproof white rum. There's nothing at all like it in the whole world. One solid shot of this stuff will tazer your ass good and proper. I would recommend 2 parts rum to 1 part egg nogg. Try it! You're gonna MF love it!

  16. I use 200 Proof 100% pure bootleg moonshine white lightning. Homemade from corn and mountain spring water.

It is shipped cross-country in tractor-trailers from Appalachia. Makes for an AMAZING egg nog when mixed properly. Or put some in your coffee and you get a "coffee lace" that'll really wake you up. It's very popular here in Hollywood. And when we're good a drunk? We use what's left to fuel our cars to get us home. lol. Of course, I haven't touched a drop in years. But I hear others like it :-)

If this posts more than once, my apologies. Blogger hates me today.

  18. Mount Gay Rum from Barbados. Since authentic Cuban rum is not yet available in the US, this is the next best thing. When Cuban rum (made in Cuba) becomes available, run out and stack up! Utter ambrosia.

  26. No nog (or booze) for me. MAYBE a glass of wine with Christmas dinner. I even use non-alcoholic champagne on New Year's Eve!

  27. None. Haven't had a drink since November of 2000. I was a mean drunk and did a lot of driving under the influence. It is a miracle I was never in an accident.

  28. I don't drink eggnog. Nobody under 80 in the UK drinks eggnog. I have vague memories of my grandmother making it at xmas in the 70's. It would traditionally ( here at least) be fortified with brandy. And not a good cognac, any old cheap French Spirit.
