  2. Show me a piano falling down a mineshift, and I'll show you A Flat minor.

  3. +1 Tricia.

As for me, it's seeing other adults that refuse to act like adults. And not in the fun, "oh he's got a boyish sense of fun and whimsy," but in the immature, entitled, unaccountable way.

  4. Having to deal with other so-called adults who act like kids or have the intelligence level of one.

  5. Having to be responsible. Say the correct thing and do the correct thing all of the time...or at least most of the time.

You get to be your unguarded self more when you are a child and then again when you are an old person.

  7. There is nothing I dislike about being an adult. To be free and on my own and making my own decisions in life is priceless!

  11. Realizing that people can be horrible and evil. You want to see the best in people and the world, but sometimes you have to accept that there are vicious, vile, and disgusting things.

  18. This site is so glitchy. I can't stand the problems with trying to comment here.

  19. I know Do Tell. I don't recall having this problem when the site used blogger.com the first time. The only difference between then and now is having to log in to comment now. Maybe that has something to do with it.

  22. I never minded being an adult. When I was a kid I wanted nothing more than to grow up as quickly as possible and stop being a kid. But this getting old stuff now is for the birds.

  23. People who forget how much it sucks to be a kid and complain about being adults.

  31. @kristaylor6663: not "music", but popular music since the 1970s, with a few exceptions. Real music can make adulthood bearable.

@Former CNN Anchor Candy Crowley: not a lot of genuine A-flat minor out there, with seven flats. But here's a great one:

  33. I hated menstrual cramps. Suffered from them horribly. Then menopause came! My libido went up and I was so happy to not feel like dying every month. Then arthritis came to town, and various other aches and pains.

Have to agree about most music today, taxes, and worry about not having enough to retire on.

And having a libido when my husband does not, lol!

  34. Having to have to make the decision to get my daughters dog put to sleep (cancer) and breaking their hearts when I told them he’d died (I just told them cancer) holding them till they cried themselves to sleep. Absolutely fucking horrible.

  35. Being married to my husband

  36. Bills, worry, bills, worry. I wish I could follow my dreams without winding up homeless but you just can't.

  37. one step closer to death. ugh

  38. Being alone. And realizing that because I'm too afraid to even put myself out there, it will never change.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Having to support myself and realizing how expensive everything is, worrying how I'll do it for the rest of my life when I'm already tired and burnt out, make less money than I did 10 years ago, but more expenses. And also the disillusionment about how so many truly awful people exist, life isn't fair, and seeing my parents age.
