Blind Item #15 - Kindness

This foreign born A- list mostly movie actress who no longer has a franchise, donated her entire paycheck from the movie she is working on now to a boarding school always on the short end financially comprised mainly of orphans who now don't have to worry for the next few years about the finances of the school.

    1. I was surprised when I read actress, charity, orphanage that it didn't strongly intimate something sinister. I wasn't sure whether the blind was saying the orphans don't need to worry or the school, and whether that implied anything sinister at all. I must be cynical, haha.

  7. Emma isn't working on any movies at the moment.

  8. This is impossible. Orphanages only figure into Grand Conspiracy posts on this site.

  9. Emma Watson is a grandstanding lefty. Surely she wouldn't ignore her proud socialist principles by funding horrible horrible private education?

  10. @Lonely - British Lefties are some of the biggest hypocrits on the planet - numerous lefty politicans and left of centre luvies, who are openly against private education, either currently send or have sent their kids to very expensive private schools.

  12. @interesting - Don't I know it. I'm a Brit myself, albeit one not wealthy enough to be a socialist.
Diane Abbot is their poster girl for this sort of educational hypocracy....probably billboard girl would be more accurate than poster girl.

Where does it say the school is private? Plenty of public schools receive donations, too. This one is attached to an orphanage so public is probably the case.

"who are openly against private education, either currently send or have sent their kids to very expensive private schools."

I never saw the hypocrisy in that. Why not be all in for public education so other children can receive the kind of education your own get at private schools? Public figures might want to keep their kids safe, too, inside a private school.

Yeah yeah, I know private school means public school, and vice versa, in the UK.

    1. Plot, ignore them. They're just trying to bring attention to themselves (and as I've noticed on the comments below, it's actually working).

Can't let anyone even perform an act of kindness without making it about themselves.

  14. @plot.....except of course that it's the privately run schools that seem to have all the child molestation problems, I don't think we ever hear about that happening in the public sector, so much for keeping the kids safe.

  15. @Lonely - yes, I was thinking of the Abbopotamus along with several other Labour MP's and various luvies and BBC types.

Then there are the ones whose huge salaries - pay for by the British public - are in very good state schools because the schools are in areas where it is very expensive to buy a house so, de facto, a private school which the tax-payer picks the fees up for.

  17. A Quiet Place was the first commercial for the superbowl (after the national anthem) and I heart Emily Blunt and any kind hearted gesture like this, so I guess Emily Blunt too.

  18. Emily Blunt never had a franchise.

She technically did one of the Huntsman, but was not a part of that franchise. I don't count that, or Sicario for that matter.

Yes! Let's make every thread a pedo thread! Good job kiddo, right on time, too.

  26. Kate Beckinsale. The Underworld franchise is over.

  27. I was happy to read about this.. until I read the comments. It seems there is always a Debbie Downer around. Sometimes I just want to read a good positive blind. Please don't ruin it for me. :)

And whoever this blind item is about, she obviously didn't have to do this and I find it very commendable. She definitely gets my respect.

  28. Kate Beckinsale? UK born and the Underworld franchise is done.

  29. +1 @plot @scandisanskrit @rockthecatwalk Agreed that it's enough with the constant mentions of paedophilia in blinds that have nothing to do with it - especially the kindness blinds. And why are so many comment strings lately descending into a left wing vs. right wing argument? A lot of the blinds, especially the big ones, are draining enough to read already without the constant political sniping...

Seriously how are you complaining about this when it is all of you that are starting the political comments to begin with? Stop making Trump remarks and people won't jump down your throat. Act the way you want others to act and stop playing woe is me after being super rude to people on a regular. And having been a reader of this board for a long time does not give you a right to be a jerk to people.

    1. @sandy I’ve said nothing about Trump. I’m bored of the liberals vs conservatives arguments! We seem to be on the same page, so I’m not sure why you’re telling me to stop complaining?

  35. Rose Byrne.

She's a friend of Enty's, and she just finished Peter Rabbit, and is working on a new film with Wahlburg called Instant Family, about adopting 3 kids. She seems nice. I could see her doing this.
