This foreign born A- list mostly movie actor who is in a relationship and apparently has been dragged into the superhero world was shooting just a bit outside LA this week and was asking people in a strip mall where the massage place was located. The massage place being the rub and tug variety.

Under Kubrick, it was supposed to be about the real purpose of kid robots. Because who could possibly want a kid robot that will obey every command.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Kubrick would have turned the mother into the enemy the way Spielberg did (and which he does in so many of his movies.)
Too bad Spielberg turned A.I. into another vehicle for his propaganda. I'd have loved to see the Kubrick film.
Kubrick was going to put his masters. Eyes Wide Shut was originally about elite child trafficking (some of that is still in the movie with Leelee) and AI was going to be about pedos and kiddy sex robots.

ReplyDelete@Normal, I believe if you research EWS you will find that it's actually an account of what Kubrick himself experienced when he was invited into those circles. Tom Cruise's character is Kubrick. He'd reached that platitude where he was invited to join these circles.

ReplyDeleteI've read those theories about EWS. They are really fascinating, I'll give you that. But there are others equally fascinating like the inability for intimacy inside a Capitalistic paradigm that are also valid, I think.
That's the thing about art. The meanings aren't "Fact" so much as ripples in many directions.
No scandal here. On Entourage, they treated going to a rub n' tug the same as a platonic massage.
