Blind Item #4

This foreign born alliterate actress is trying to supplant this former A list mostly television actress who doesn't act any longer as the voice for a movement. She doesn't care who she has to trample to get to be front and center and it is showing in everything she does. The thirst is strong.

  2. Someone and Rose McGowan for #MeToo

  3. Asia Argentina/Rose?
Or maybe Meghan Markle as ex actress

  4. Asia Argento? Replacing Rose McGowan?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Asia Argento and Alyssa Milano.

    ReplyDelete
  6. No, Enty must mean Rose. Alyssa's still doing a little acting.

  7. Oh, Asia is a good guess. I guess I don't see her as being really "thirsty" though. She's not super famous in the US, but she's still known elsewhere.

  9. The question is - why?

    ReplyDelete
  10. It's definitely Rose and #MeToo. Not sure who's trying to replace her though? Good luck to them whoever they are because Rose is a mess.

  11. Harsh, Enty. This movement isn't a club anyone wants to belong to. Asia Argento spoke out at Cannes, true, but thirsty? Perhaps for justice.

  12. Attention whores gotta attention whore.

  13. While #metoo is not a club I have seen some shady celebs treat it as such. There will always be people taking advantage of legit causes. That being said, Asia does not strike me as thirsty.

  14. Every time I see Asia Argento's name, I think it's Asia Carrera, the porn star.

I snickered when I read Meghan Markle. She doesn't get that her role is not political. The Brits don't care as much about #metoo because for them, it's all about the class/social structure - not gender.

  16. Asia gave a big me too speech at Cannes:

Is Rose mostly TV? I know her from her movies, she had some pretty iconic roles in the 90s. (scream, jawbreaker). Also, I am not sure is the head of metoo, she has been treated as joke, for the most part.

  17. Asia Argento is the daughter of Dario Argento, who is extremely famous here in Italy. I would never call Asia thirsty, she has her own fame.

BUt maybe the people who write the blinds dont know who she is?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lmao so they’re doing this all for fame now? See, this is why nobody is taking this movement seriously! All I see is a bunch of white women “advocating” for white women and trying to get the most press to revive their careers.

  19. With all her twittering, Alyssa feels more like the face of #MeToo than Rose, so I'm not sure which one Enty means here. And honestly, Asia's a much better front person for the cause. She was legit ground zero in the Weinstein downfall. Not his first, but the first to demand he be prosecuted. And Alyssa's the one who looks thirsty to me. She jumps on every social cause bandwagon as soon as it looks cool. She's bored with #MeToo and now wants to be the face of mental illness. Yawn.

  20. #MeToo is at least half a distraction from the Hollywood pedophiles. Many of these women were couched and regret it, but that's different from being raped. It's gross, it's tragic (especially for all the honorable talent that doesn't succumb), but it's more a product of Hollywood's cesspool of sexual dealmaking than outright criminality (though there is that, too).

Asia's Cannes speech would hold more weight if she hadn't willingly "dated" Weinstein after the alleged (but probable IMHO) rape. She's not the right face for the cause any more than Rose McGowan, who is so damaged she's unstable. :-(

  21. Asia Argento. I agree (!) with her appearing to be a bit thirsty referring to remarks about no one saying anything to her after her speech except Spike Lee. Ava DuVernay politely corrected her and Asia apologized, but not a good look.

  22. Asia Argento may be famous in Europe, in the US she is virtually unknown. I don't know if Enty is right about her motives, but she may think she needs to step forward because Rose is doing damage to the cause and herself.

  23. @galloise,
I think Enty is often a bit weak on his (or more probably, their) ranking and knowledge of people outside of the US and UK.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dear unknown, rape, sexual abuse and paedophilia knows no colour. Over a million White girls from impoverished backgrounds and care homes were raped, beaten and tortured (some were even murdered) by Muslims in the UK while the police turned a blind eye to it. This went on for decades. I'm sick and tired of "women of colour" acting like they have the monopoly on rape or feminism. You don't. Stop silencing victims based on their skin colour and stop acting like you were the "first feminists" because you wasn't. Africa, India, Asia, the Middle East doesn't reflect your bullshit. Only Europe and other White Western countries show signs of feminism and that is because the first feminists were White European women.

  25. @Nemo I agree, i think this blind is her too.

    ReplyDelete
  26. This "blind" is complete BS

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hey ladies!!! There is room for EVERYONE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. @unknown MeToo is a twitter hashtag movement, anyone of any color can use it to tell their story.

I actually saw an article yesterday saying that because weinstein didnt rape WOC, white men are somehow racist against black women in their choice of rape victims. The world is getting seriously messed up!

  29. rose doesn't act anymore. not sure if milano does. The last thing she was on was that show on ABC called Mistresses. After that, it's just been hosting gigs for Project Runway AllStars.

Could be either one. I'm thinking the woman who wants the attn is Anthony Bordain's ex? Can't remember her name.

No matter what happens, proof is in the history of social media: it was Rose and Ashley, who started the whole revolution...then came the Allyssa #metoo movement.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Glue also a lot of credit goes to that young italian model who went to the police and wore the wire against Weinstein, she was the real one who cracked everything open

    ReplyDelete
  31. The blind is meant to be Asia Argento, but I never saw her as that thirsty.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Viking Song is right about the UK, the police and media there totally looked the other way, they got away with it for so long because the victims were of lower income households.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Maybe Enty (or one of them) just doesn't like Asia for some reason. There are obviously certain people, mostly actresses, who get more scorn from him/them than they seem to deserve.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes @gualoise - you are correct! I think she was one of the first to file an actual police report.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good to her and good for the movement. Are you one of Harvey´s Mossad agents trying to discredt the victims??? ewwww

    ReplyDelete
  36. Rose is a trashy mess who is using her sexual submission that she regretted after to get back in the world and excuse her drug habit and insanity I do not like her anymore after seeing her use this as an excuse ..women get assaulted daily and don't go on coke fueled rants about woman's rights..the same rights she discarded when using her body and sex appeal to sell herself with I'm tired of regret whores who sell their voice and stay silent while others get harmed ..she settled with him for cash ..that makes her a whore ..meaningbshe had sex with him then sold herself to him afterward where was her voice before she took that pervs cash? Oh I know he intimidated her over her career ...what career she wasn't that great at acting but now that she fucked her face up she needs to rally her girl power instead of selling her ass in movies and tv

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think it's Alyssa who is thirsty to be the face of #MeToo. Not Asia

She is after all the one Tawana Burke supporters called out months ago for co-opting #MeToo from the women of color who started the movement years ago.

In social media I have *never* seen Rose come down hard on Asia Argento (quite the opposite)

But you can't say the same of Alyssa...

    ReplyDelete
  38. #MeToo is not a frickin' hockey team, there aren't any leaders. There's no one to supplant. Rose has her book and her speaking tours, she's doing fine. Asia has her thing. They don't conflict. They're both fighters, but I think Asia has it rougher in Europe, which may explain why she's fighting harder.

    It's fine.

  39. I actually believe Rose McGowan when she says Harvey Weinstein raped her. To me personally Rose seems more authentic than Alysia Milano. Milano is BEST FRIENDS with Weinstein wife Georgina which I think this bullshit! I agree with Rose on that one. One thing I appreciate about Rose is she is NOT afraid to call out the Hollywood assholes who are not telling the truth like Meryl Streep.
