Also, everybody talks about Old Yeller, but when the beloved otter gets returned to the wild in "Ring of Bright Water," only to be crushed with a shovel by the evil British boggsman, my child mind was reduced to endless tears.

  57. ALL of them on NCIS esp Zeva and Kate and I assume next is Abbey. I'm done with it except David McCallum my lifelong crush since the 60's has said he's coming back on limited basis. I love Mark but even he can't save it. It was once my fave show and had such an awesome cast. I have one REAL celeb death I will never get over and that's Pete Duel. He starred on Love on a Rooftop and Alias Smith and Jones and was my total first love/crush. He shot himself on New Years Eve 1971 and I was only 16 but I have never gotten over him and guess at this age I never will. Does anyone else feel that way about a real life death of a celeb? My late husband couldn't get over Elvis so I guess we all have deaths that touch us of people we grow up idolizing even thoughh we don't know them.

  61. @Nature Girl - I feel the same about NCIS and I especially liked Ziva. I watch NCIS re-runs here (in the UK) and saw an episode that ended with Tony & Ziva crashed into by another vehicle and assumed Ziva died then, never saw the episode after. (The re-runs aren't in any order.) I don't like the newbies at all. David McCallum was gorgeous back in the 60s especially in his Man From Uncle times. Apparently though, he was a wife-beater (my mum told me.)
One of my closest friends in school was madly 'in love' with Pete Duel and was devastated when he died. We were 12 years old then. Alias Smith & Jones was such a good series!
