I'm old so my highlights are from way back:Madonna rolling around on the floor to "Like a Virgin", Nirvana sneaking in a bit of "Rape Me" and Krist Novoselic braining himself when he threw his bass in the air, the Chili Peppers' free-for-all on stage with much groping throughout the crowd, and of course the truly cringe-inducing kiss between Lisa Marie and MJ
Yes Tricia the REAL Courtney she's been trying to keep in check ever since. I think the year of Nirvana was also the time Kurt and Axl got into a scuffle backstage. Those were the days!
This is the show where Madonna and Britney Spears did that kiss right? Every year something outrageous gets done to get the show written up the next day?
What's the point? MTV doesn't even show videos and all the good artists are either no longer around or pushed to the side for bimbo trash pop stars and rappers.
This is just a "who can outbimbo who" show now. Who's even watching anymore?
Reading some of these comments reminded me...remember when MTV actually was kind of edgy? And fun? Those first couple years, big hair bands and new wave leather boys and Springsteen. You saw real talent on the VMAs. Now it's fashion and shock value for no purpose other than self-perpetuating buzz.
they showed a promo of the show and kylie and travis were in front row... so either its kendull or kylie got her way already. gross they have so much power.
