  2. Most of them - I do not watch or follow any major network series and have not followed any of on-line series. Nothing jumps out to me as worthy of my time.

  3. Reality TV shows particularly the real ratchet one's that show people of color in the worst light.

  4. my husband watches ALL of the bigfoot hunter shows. ALL OF THEM. and i hate them all.

  5. The Ultimate Fighter.

My husband watches it, just hearing some of those assclowns speak... I'm not calling them all assclowns, but it's a reality show, I guess, and they all have to have a few to liven things up.

  6. It's a tuffy. Of shows I've tried to give a chance, I would say Big Bang Theory. I couldn't make it through 5 minutes the couple of times I tried to watch it.

  7. Broad City. I would punch them all in the mouth if I could.
    Portlandia. Same

  8. Reality shows in general, seem to take up space that could be better used for real tv shows, also seem to lower the population's IQ in general.

Not including competition or game show type stuff in that, Forged in Fire makes every man want to be a blacksmith!

  9. Any of the manufactured drama reality shows. Keeping Up With The Plastic Housewives Of Southern Comfort, Because Chrisley Knows Best And Rules kind of stuff.

  10. This Is Bullshit and Big Bang Bullshit.

  11. 2 Broke Girls. Somebody was obviously fucking someone at the network to have kept that garbage on for like five years. Acting was horrible, writing was horrible, the whole concept was ridiculous. And...is "2 Broke Girls" even proper grammar?

    1. I hate the show. But I don’t think it is a grammatically incorrect title. “2 Broke Girls” = “2 Poor Girls”. Broke is an adjective.

  12. So many to choose from, but I cant sit through 2 minutes of The View. But anything on E! As well.

  15. +1 @Sandybrook

+1,000,000 @Jon -- I said the SAME thing! Definitely audition couch. Had to be. No other explanation for a horribly written & pathetic excuse of a sitcom with cringe-worthy acting. It was just downright awful.

  16. This is us (manipulative)
    All dating shows
    All housewife shows

But my biggest hatred is for the K family. Vomit.

  17. Most reality shows particularly Kardashian's, any of the Duggars shows and Teen mom

  18. I think you've got to take all the reality stuff off the table, because there is no competition there. It's just deplorable, differing grades of it, but all dehumanizing and anti-social. Horrible, horrible for America.

It's also not worth the effort to kick a show that's bad but nobody cares. You've really got to focus on the popular shows that don't deserve to be successful, but because they are drag people down to lowest common denominator behaviors or appeal to their worst instincts.

On that front, I guess the show I hate the most is "The Walking Dead," which is so ugly and poorly done while remaining hugely popular and supporting a nihilistic world viewpoint, that I despise it.

"2 Broke Girls" was a good call, though. I've seen parts of it and it's absolutely vile.

  19. Never watched the Kardashian's or any Reality show.

Yet they were not funded by Tax payers or with obscene tax breaks as to make it criminal.

The only publicly funded reality show that pisses me off is the British Royals and BBC's hogging the fake headlines.

Yet the Crown Prince with his pedophile crime partner Jimmy Savile are censored as a hate crime.

On a local level I'd have to say the Clinton Global Initiative's Bribery reality show called Pay to Play.

  20. Chat shows. They aren't. Not these days. How many of today's hosts, daytime or night, stand up to hosts like Howard Stern, Johnny Carson, Oprah, Larry Sanders or the UKs Michael Parkinson. Today's chat shows are little more than well rehearsed sketches and PR exercises. Switch on to any of them, any time of day and day of the week and as long as you've seen one of that show before you can virtually get up there and replace host or guest. How I miss guests like Robin Williams, Joan Rivers... today's hosts would be ripped to pieces by them. Even SNL has lost its originality and hides behind political satire gone stake.

  23. Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I've never seen a second but I hate that this show wedged these 'tards into every crevice of popular culture.

  25. Hello everyone! Thank you Enty for posting this. I thought this would be a fun post for everyone.

I agree with This Is Us, terrible shows like it stay on forever though.

I detest the Wendy Williams Show and the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

I detest Modern Family and Blackish.

I detest anything by Shonda Rhimes, especially Scandal. Rhimes is obviously pushing an agenda.

I do not like The Simpsons, I do not want Church of Scientology indoctrination. Anyone else remember you had to go to Family Dollar stores to get the t-shirts when the show first aired? We were banned from wearing them to elementary school.

As for 2 Broke Girls, a lot of the jokes that weren't dirty were inside jokes. I didn't watch it in the original run. I watch it on re-runs and can catch the inside jokes.

As for Big Bang Theory, you hate it or you love it. You will definitely hate it if you have never seen it before Mayim Bialik joined the cast. The re-runs are funny.

I am pleasantly surprised by Young Sheldon though. I thought I was gonna hate it, but it is funny. I live in the south so I guess I can relate.

I can't wait for NBC's Wednesday night line-up this fall! I LOVE Chicago Fire!

I can't wait for The Good Doctor, Criminal Minds, SWAT. Thank God I have 2 televisions and a streaming service, can't watch several shows at once. Thank God for recording devices!

CW has new shows coming. I want to see he football show, based on a true story.

Dear CW: please bring back Valor.

    Everyone have a blessed week.

Maybe we can do a Your Turn about which show we are excited to watch this fall?

  27. Just about any reality show, but especially Survivor and Big Brother. Just effin' end them, already!

  28. I never liked The View or any show like it.

Thank you O.J. Simpson for killing the soap opera genre. Thank God Days of Our Lives is still on!

  29. @Jon and Glue.

There was a blind on CDAN a year or two ago that '2Broke Girls' was the popular guess for that the only reason a certain show with two young females leads got made was that the blonde one was the babysitter of some high TV exec that he was fucking and he got her a show to keep her quiet.

The poor bastard wasn't even screwing the one with the great rack but the ironing board.

If true, and what we now definitely know about the behaviour of TV and movie types, this would not surprise me.

  30. @Sandybrook & others, agree with you on the Kartrashians. When will they go away?!

    Prayers for Kanye.

@MSABO9, yeah, I know they need to make a profit but they get over on the sellers. A lot of that stuff should be sold at auction, not in a pawn shop.

  31. Mind your Business on OWN absolutely horrible

ANYTHING where Arianna talks when kids were younger.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The shows on TLC are hard to watch. It’s like a modern day traveling circus with freaks and oddities. It feels so exploitive to me vs. the drunken antics of some spoiled housewives.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kardashians, Real Housewives of any description, Big Brother, Eastenders....

  34. The Kartrashians and any reality show.

The View. Because your not allowed to have your own view, only theirs.

  36. Pawn Stars.

"Well, this 1932 $100 bill is creased so the best I can do is give you $15 for it."
"Can you at least do $30?"
"I have to make a profit so I can go to $20 and that's the most I can do."
    "$25?"
"You have to remember it's going to sit here until I find a buyer for it but I guess I can go to $24."
    "Ok, deal"
"Follow me and I'll write you up and give you some cash."

  37. I don't watch a lot of TV, and certainly not TV that I hate, but once in a while I peak in on CNN when Jake Tapper is on, and within 5 minutes I want to punch his face - repeatedly.
Certainly all reality TV is the dregs, sorry fans but it is true.

There are too many to name, but, the number one is those freaking Kardashians. I wish they would all just move to the Far East or something.

  39. Alaskan Bush People.

  40. How can I possibly answer this question? If a particular show isn't my thing, I don't watch it again. And there are TONS that people rave about, which I've tried and think they're ridiculous.

But in general, anything called "reality TV" deserves to die.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Most reality TV and definitely "The Bachelor".

    ReplyDelete
  42. That 70’s Show. SO.FUCKING.STUPID. And that thing they did in between scenes where they’re jumping up and down and mugging the cameras... *cringe*

  44. American Pickers (Is that what it’s called?) Always pisses me off how they really low ball the Owner & then resell items for a HUGE PROFIT

I don't watch current TV. I haven't owned a TV since 2014. I last subscribed to cable in 2009. The only shows I watch are vintage comedies of the 1970's

    ReplyDelete
  48. +1 Rob Horine

Murphy Brown and Designing Women were 2 of the most strident, didactic, self-impressed UNFUNNY comefies to ever blight a CBS Line-up. PREACH, PREACH, PREACH - literally nonstop BULLSH!T Marxist programming

And that obnoxious Murphy dancing&grooving to Motown greats makes me want to throw a rock thru the TV.
