Four For Friday - Still Getting Away With It

For the first time in a very long time there has been news in a case. The case has been open for over two decades. It is also why, because of the recent developments, that the mastermind behind it is searching for another country from which he can't be extradited. Apparently our mastermind who is a foreign born former A list mostly movie actor who still gets lots of roles in his home country despite being a horrible pig of a man was confronted by the murder victim shortly after a movie he made. Our actor made a movie that involved many generations so there were a lot of flashbacks of how the lead female looked throughout her childhood and teen years. Apparently our actor raped several of the teens and tweens who were in the movie. One of them confided in the lead actress who is foreign born and probably B+ list but all of you know her. Our actress then in turn spoke to the victim who was very powerful and had very powerful friends and family in the film industry. The victim did tell some people and the next thing you know, she turns up dead. Now, our actor wasn't the actual killer, he just hired the killer and has been gumming up the works in and out of the country for two decades. Things are starting to finally move forward though and our actor is worried which is why he has taken steps to get away quickly if he needs to. He knows there are people who know he was behind it. The thing is though, the authorities want to hear it from the killer himself.

  3. We need an A Team to bring these guys back to the US. No passport, no problem, you'll be in a crate with the rest of the swine the whole flight back anyway.

  5. Was the movie "Elisa", with the lead actress we all know being Vanessa Paradis?

Who is the powerful person that was killed though?

  6. Also Putin granted him Russian citizenship, so he can live there and there's no extradition treaty between the U.S. and Russia. Wonder if Trump will just go there if he's indicted.

  7. Who is the actress that was killed? If it was reported as a murder,it should be easy, but was it a "suicide"? Accident?

    1. Doesn't say it was an actress that died. Just someone powerful.

The blind is confusing because you think victim means rape victim, but it's murder victim. The murder victim is not the same person that was raped, it's somebody completely removed from the situation that presumably could have helped the rape victim.

  8. If its Vanessa Paradis as the actress the movie is called Elisa and the story seems to fit the movie description as generational.

  9. It doesn't say the actress was killed. It says the lead actress spoke to the (eventual) murder victim who was very powerful and had very powerful friends and family in the film industry.

  10. Yes the actress was confided in and may be Paradis in Elisa.

  11. Holy crap, Depardieu really does still get a ton of roles in France.

  12. And I don't understand "bring them back to the United States." No evidence that the crimes were committed in the US or the movie was made here.

  15. Gerard DeParDon't was in a movie with Katherine Heigl way back in the day. I think it was her first biggie. I didn't see it, so I can't be sure if it showed her as she ages through the years. She was definitely a teen, maybe 15 or 16, when she was in it.

  20. @Krab, I was thinking the same flight they'd throw Polanski on. They can always extradite Depardieu back to France from the US later.

  21. Sophie Toscan du Plantier’s murder was the subject of an Audible original podcast type thing called West Cork. It was free when it came out, I’m not sure if it is still free. She had a home in Ireland and was killed there. Her husband, Daniel, isn’t listed as having anything to do with Elisa, but he was a pretty big producer in France.

The film with Katherine Heigel was a remake of a French film. She played his daughter and they were on vacation in a Club Med type resort. There wasn’t any aging of the characters as far as I remember since the majority of the film took place during the vacation.
