Wow @Jim Corrigan you've totally got my sympathy now. I mean it's not like "brown people" haven't been abusive in brown cultures to gay people all through history. I mean, like even recently, it's not like modern Islamic folk pushed gay men to their deaths off the top of buildings. That same-sex relations in middle Eastern countries are punishable by at least jail and flogging and at worse death. Or that in African countries, gay men are regularly rounded up and thrown into jail for just being in certain gathering spots. Or that in Brazil, 3,000+ gay people have been murdered since 1980 for their sexual orientation.
Or that basically, it's only "brown" countries where same-sex relations are still illegal with harsh punishments, and that even in "non-brown" countries gay men and women are regularly murdered for their sexual orientation.
Or are "brown" people murdered for being "brown" in "brown" countries too?
A lot of my ancestors were maimed and killed in the Civil War fighting for the North. In fact, as many northern soldiers were killed as African slaves initially sent to the United States. Will their death certificates be enough payment for your reparation request?
