  3. No because I don't need anyone else's junk, I have enough of my own.

  4. Sometimes. My mom lives in a 55+ neighborhood, so I take her to the 2 annual garage sales there to see if there's anything we can't live without.

Spoiler alert- there usually isn't anything we can't live without.

  5. I have gone to garage sales in the past, but now I’m a member of local FB groups. It’s great! They photograph what they’re selling and you message them if you’re interested and just pick it up.

  6. I do, it's a great place to meet single mothers.

No. Never saw the mystique of being someone else's used stuff.

  8. I've helped my mother hold three garage sales over the last couple of years. She made a killing each time. Some of what she was selling was awesome, but other stuff...it's shocking the crap people will buy.

  9. I like Estate Sales way better. Most of them are online now too.

  10. Yes but only to look for collectables. You generally have to wade through a bunch of crap tho.

  11. I love them. I'm having one next weekend.

  12. No, but I love to go to antique stores, and they too, have a bunch of junk...

  13. Nope. If it's usable, I give it away. Unless it's worth selling on eBay, like durable, lightly worn designer items.

  14. I don't need an extra garage.

  15. Estate Sales are the place to be these days, especially with the popularity of mid-century mod everything.

  16. Yes, always on the look out for rare vinyl, way cool belt buckles, old boots to make into purses, etc..
Never have them, just give stuff away to goodwill.

  17. Held one last year. Youngest cleaned up, made over $500 selling her Legos and American Girl stuff.

  18. Personally I hate them, but hubby's a big fan.

  19. Ew, no. You never know where something’s been.

  20. Yes but only for furniture and DVD's

  21. No, i think they can be neat, and am fascinated with others' great finds, but I am trying to make sense of what Ive already got. My niece is obsessed with "vintage," so she's happier shopping garage sales, thrift and resale than anywhere else.

  22. sure, as long as it's in my neighborhood or nearby.

At one I found a "Marvel Vs. Capcom 2" for PS2. Bought it for $5, flipped it at gamestop for $40 in store credit.

  23. Love 'em!

You never know what vintage stuff you might find.

  24. I still do, sometimes I bring my own junk to barter.
The best thing I've ever gotten was a gameboy and tetris cartridge for old times sake. 2nd is this vintage doll I gave to my mom for one of her birthdays, turns out it was limited edition or something and she still has it on her dresser 10 years later.

  25. Heck yes.
Neighborhood garage and estate sales (estate sales are the best) are great places for fishing nuts like me to find rods, reels, and tackle dirt cheap. I have found $300 dollar rods for as cheap as 20 bucks, pricey reels even cheaper. I also love to look for antique gear and rods for my collection, and on a few occasions antique rods, reels, and tackle to other collectors.

  26. I need to sell a bunch of my stuff.Trying Facebook but not happening as fast as I want.

  27. You bet. I look for vinyl and books mostly.

  28. Im in an area where there were town wide sales today. Ive found some valuable and designer items for my home. People around here get sick of Hermes chairs and other vintage stuff and cant be bothered donating it. First the staff gets to look, then its the yard sale.

  29. I call them garbage sales for a reason. I have enough junk, crap and clutter of my own. Why would I buy someone else's garbage?
