Blind Item #5

This former A+ list mostly television actor who had a hit and miss movie and television career since, with way more misses than hits is someone all of you know. He has run through a ton of money. He is living off an annuity at this point and could use a cash infusion. Everyone is afraid to give him a job though because of the pattern of addiction.

  1. I'm gonna go with Beekmancruger. Charlie Sheen is a jagoff and has problems beyond his addictions, but Matthew Perry seems to be a decent guy who has addiction problems.

  2. Chris Kattan, there was a big article in variety on Friday about breaking his neck during SNL and recovering from that.

  3. Yep I’m going with Perry too. There’s was a deal a little while back about him hitting up a porn star/escort randomly for drugs along with the sexy time assignation. Sad situation for a guy who actually seems nice.

  4. I'd eliminate Matthew Perry just due to the huge payday the Friends cast earned the last few years of the show. Unless he's got Sheen-like excesses that no one knows about, it's hard to imagine him running thru that much dough in a relatively short period of time

  5. +1 Perry, its been 15 years since friends, plenty of time to become cash poor and just living off interest

  6. Perry fits,Sheen actually has not had many misses, and Chris Kattan was neverA+.

  7. I think Charlie being hired is less drugs and more about the HIV status and how expensive it would be to cover him for insurance to hire him.

Perry sounds right, I thought he had invested a lot of money in real estate and was selling them off at losses.

  8. I don’t think it’s Perry. I read somewhere that the Friends cast is still pulling in $20 million a year for syndication royalties.

  9. This description sounds exactly like Perry. Blind does say he's gone through a ton of money and it's been a while since friends. That is probably what the 'annuity' is from.

  10. +1 to Kattan. And his severe addiction caused by his broken neck.

  11. ***Mango is right and looks like Friends cast splits $20mill a year in residuals because Friends allegedly still rakes in $1 Billion a year (seems hard to believe), but its widely out there unless everyone just reporting misinformation which we all know is possible (and maybe even likely.) That being said who knows how much of a nut he needs every year to maintain his lifestyle. A couple of mill doesn't go as far as it used to.

    1. "A couple of mill doesnt go as far as it used to" is so absurdly true. Absurd in the sense that that'a the reality the rest of us hundredaires must live with as the "value" of everything has been distorted based on that.

  12. I agree that this fits Perry. He does seem to struggle with the addiction issue. Back when his revamped Odd Couple came out, I seem to remember him making a couple of joking comments about really needing it to be successful that seemed more insecurely telling (I thought bc of creative hand in development) than funny. It is hard to imagine plowing through that much money (no private islands that I know of), but bad investments, bad mgt, bad habits, esp any combo, and ouch.

  13. Perry’s make a boat load of cash in friends royalties, his mother is loaded and married to Keith Morrison and his family is close to him, no way his living off of an annuity. The first person that said Charlie Sheen was spot on. Denise Richards his ex is on RHOBH and talking about Charlie’s money problems and he’s trying to get his child support reduced because he can’t get a job and he’s living off investments. This is Charlie Sheen 1000%

  14. There is no way this is Matthew Perry. FRIENDS runs around the clock and no way he couldn't live in luxury til he was 300 on those residuals, never mind when he was making $1 mil an ep at their heyday. Has to be Charlie Sheen although isn't SPIN CITY lots of residuals for you. He probably owes a lot in Child support and medical and drug bills. I think people would be WAY more hesitant to hire him than to hire Perry

  15. Wait what movie career "Since" has Charlie done? He was early movies then SPIN CITY/TWO 1/2 MEN. He wasn't doing movies during this time or after. Perry did some movies. I don't know about Kattan. He kinda has had no luck since SNL.

  16. Perry's description would include 'iconic show'. Not him.

  18. There was an article about 6 months ago about a guy who was in friends for like 3 episodes as someone Monica or Rachel dated (I think it wa the alocoholic boyfriend who was boring when he stopped drinking). Anyways, just for those few episodes he earns a couple thousand a month. No way does a main actor on that show need money. As much as it plays across the world, they all could live off friends forever.

  19. If not Perry then Sheen. No way Kattan close to A+.

  20. Definitely Charlie Sheen with the annuity being Two and a Half Men.

  22. Chris Kattan was never, on any planet, by any means measurable, A+ list.

  23. Perry has,a new show, may have gone off the air but it was on a network channel for several years. Name is escaping me.

  24. @Teachermom, the character's name was "Fun Bobby" and after he quit drinking, I think it was Chandler that said he should be called "Ridiculously Dull Bobby" ... LOL.
