Blind Item #7 - Reader Blind Item

This popular TV show that ran a couple of decades ago was most well-known for its main character who was a first of a kind. The show dealt with his issues.

One problem - The actor who played the character would sometimes go to the bathroom on set and other people working there would step in it.  Despite being told many times not to do this, he continued.

Finally one day some members of the cast and crew including this acclaimed Broadway actress and this actor with a more famous sibling took matters into their own hands and held the main character down rubbing his face and mouth in his own waste.

This however did not stop him and he continued to use the set as his toilet.

  3. maybe tricia got it although if it's him that's a real pathetic thing to do to him. He's disabled.
I was going Billy Crystal, Katherine Helmond, Jimmy Baio, Soap.

  5. Jesus f'in Christ, remind me not to fuck with patti lupone! Lol

  6. Was he doing this on purpose? I know he has Down’s Syndrome but if he can remember and deliver lines surely he knows how to use a toilet?

  7. I mean glad to hear nobody was raping him like the usual blinds, but damn, he was developmentally impaired, kind of harsh.

  9. Okay I call BS. Come on. Give the kid his OWN bathroom then, with a key, and he can't get into any more or other bathrooms or are they saying he SHIT behind sets?

  10. @kiki, I believe in this context, "on set" is meant literally. Like the blind says, people were stepping in it.

  11. I refuse to believe that even Enty would write a blind like this if it was about Corky in Life Goes On.
How about Alice for the show
    Broadway star Linda Lavin
Actor with a more famous sibling- Phillip McKeon (Nancy)

  12. LOL @ Lassie. I thought maybe it was a dog as well.

    Or Alf?

  13. On the other hand, Barbara Eden said Larry Hagman would go on drunken benders where he would go around pissing all over the Jeannie set. So this isn't unprecedented.

  14. Remember, this was in the way back days even before the disability acts were voted on. I dont doubt it could have happened at all

  15. This is 100% ALF. The smell of Melmacian poop is legendary :-)

  16. Alice was on in the late 70's/early 80's. That is four decades ago.

Life Goes On was late 80's. Also too many decades.

A couple of decades ago would be late 90's - early 2000's now.

Keep guessing, all - I got nothing.

  17. I don't picture Patty Lepone and Chad Lowe holding down a kid with down syndrom and pushing his face into his own shit. I remember the show and that kid and he was actually pretty high functioning. He wouldn't have been able to perform in an hour long weekly show if he wasn't.
This blind is just plain disgusting on SO many levels-much more than usual.

  18. Doogie Howser, M.D./Neil Harris.... "A couple of decades ago," "first of its kind."

  20. It's Mr. Ed. That fucking horse shit everywhere.

  21. If it was popular 20 years ago maybe it was one of those HBO/Showtime shows like Sopranoes or Dexter or Six feet Under where the main characters were odd antihereo types ?

  22. @s.s., Are you suggesting that James Gandolfini or Michael C. Hall kept sh!tting all over their sets?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ok I think this is a tongue in cheek BI as Enty never says the actor was human. Way more than a couple decades ago but Gentle Ben fits in every other category. The mom was an acclaimed Broadway star Beth Brickell and the kid was Clint Howard (Ron's little brother.) JMHO.

  24. Wasn't there a blind about sly and/or his family shitting in the shower in a vegas hotel? There was an english teacher in Wisconsin that was shitting in a park for years..they finally caught him..

  25. WOW TRICIA - I have come to take your early comments for granted and you're not always right but WOW is that a A1 guess.

I remember that show. What a crazy good guess.

Thing about Downs Syndrome people is, they ABSOLUTELY know they can get away with extra bullshit because they are "disabled."

Reddit is peppered with stories from siblings of disabled people testifying how even nonverbal handicapped siblings pulled some fucked up shit just because they knew they would get away with it.

"Handicapped" is NOT a reason to take a shit anywhere around a working TV set, that's fucking bullshit. No wonder they held him down and rubbed it on him.

  26. This is not Michael C Hall, holy crap.

  28. omg I thought it was obvious that this blind was written about an animal, probably a dog lol

  29. This is obviously a dog!

  30. Wow when the Tricia13 bot misfires things can go a little wild but this guess was something else lol lol lol

  31. The clues sure fit Corky guy but no way Lupone and Lowe held him down and rubbed his face in it- no way, no how!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lassie was a male dog.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jesus Christ. This is obviously about a dog lol

  34. This is about a dog. It's the TV show Wishbone on PBS! One would expect a well trained dog "actor" not to do that. Apparently this dog Soccer just didn't care! Gross!

    ReplyDelete
  35. "The actor who played the character" is not about a dog.

  36. High functioning disabled folks can use the rest room. However, others cannot and wear diapers that must be changed. Life goes on was one of my favorite shows and that time period did not accommodate the disabled. If anyone engaged in this type of behavior it is called abuse and should be reported to as such. Chad Lowe always seemed sweet and super talented Patti too. Always treat the elderly and disabled with dignity and respect

  37. I hope it is not about corky. But in saying that, Hunter, you are an ass if you think all disabled people are doing shitty things just because they can get away with it. As a special ed teacher, I can tell you plenty of "highly functional" disabled people have bathroom issues. It can be a sensory thing- they dont like the feel of going so they wait till the last second or they do like the feel and go at bad moments. Then you have hyper focusing which is when they are so into something they forget to go to the restroom until it is too late. Couple that with potential physical issues such as small urethras, kidney and bladder issues. I pray this story was about a dog.
