Blind Item #11

This former A-/B+ list actor who kept a very hit show shut down because he wanted a raise and refused to shoot and then ticked off everyone he worked with in a string of comedy movies, doesn't get much work now. He had to go apologize for two years to everyone for being a tool before anyone would cast him for a movie again. He says he has changed, but this A+ list actor who hung out with him this month said the guy is still a tool.

    1. I like this guess. He has pissed off nearly everyone he's ever worked with iirc, and pulls stunts like bomb threats on planes and getting kicked out of Monte Carlo casinos. The guy seems like a loose cannon.

  5. I like your Dempsey guess, Tricia. Thats was his MO on Greys and all he makes are Romcoms, even as a teen. THE RONSTER!! Sheen has to be permanent A. IMO.

Looks like you could just automatically post that to every single blind and it will be accurate on at least 90% of them.

  12. Not Chevy Chase?

  13. Eddie Murphy? He started out on SNL, and burned LOTS of bridges over the years.

  14. Michael Cera. He had an issue with not wanting to make an Arrested Development movie unless he got a raise. He's kinda disappeared.

  15. This is not Rob Schneider, who does not do rom-coms, but trust me Elf would have been an even better movie if Rob Schneider had played the role of Buddy.

For the record, almost nobody does more than 20 years of actual rom-coms, the peak year for males is 37. If a male actor is starring in a "rom-com" at 50, it is not a "rom-com", it is a "quirky" movie that is marketed to people who like quirky movies, not to people who like "rom-coms", so by definition it is not a "rom-com."

  19. Patrick Dempsey is not this guy. He is a cheater, but not a total tool.

  20. I don't know if many of the guesses fits the blind. Dempsey, Cera nor Miller made a string of comedies after they left their hit shows. That being said, I have no idea who it could be.
